Design Director Role Overview.
This is a full-time for a Designer internship based in Barcelona.
We are looking for a Womenswear Designer, working within our women's design team, focusing on developing graphics and prints for womenswear garments from concept stage to production, working across multi-product categories.
Responsibilities and Duties.
Research current and future trends for products to drive newness and keeping to the womenswear handwriting, creating mood boards and sharing ideas with the rest of the team.
Designing commercially relevant products.
Working closely with the wider womenswear design team to ensure an efficient workflow of designs, and sample production.
Draw influences from a wide range of sources - from Instagram micro trends through to seasonal global trends, catwalks, research trips, etc Keeping up to date with relevant trends and in turn presenting this back to the Design director.
Working with the Design director to ensure technical packs are sent out on time.
Assisting in technical fits with the pattern team.
Writing notes throughout these meetings to share with your team.
Collating design packs which will then be sent out to the suppliers on a weekly basis.
Chasing samples with suppliers and communicating with them when needed.
Organizing multi deadlines and ensuring that all administrative tasks are completed to support the team's day to day running.
Regularly arranging fabrics for the design department and ensuring products are ready for any meetings where rack ups are required.
● Currently pursuing a degree in Design, textile, or a related field ● Recent graduates are also welcome to apply ● Enrolled as a full-time student for the entire duration of the internship (3 months to 1 year) ● Or in the so-called gap year between Bachelor's and Master's degrees (gap year regulation only applies to EU citizens due to the work permit regulation) ● Computer Skills.
Photoshop, Illustrator, CAD ● Ability to work across a variety of mediums - creating.

i artworks from photos, stock images etc ● Strong commercial handwriting and understanding of the Womenswear customer ● Fashion forward-thinking and directional trend print eye ● Brilliant time management and resilience, with the ability to prioritize tasks and work in fast moving and reactive business with multiple deadlines ● Ability to communicate confidently, effectively, and appropriately with colleagues, suppliers, wider team & senior management ● Good personal handwriting and the ability to be versatile and adapt to a variety of styles.
Evidence of this in portfolio is essential ● Have an excellent eye for detail and color
