T3 CYBERSECURITY ANALYST (SENIOR), MADRID

A globally recognized financial services institution is seeking a Senior (T3) Cybersecurity Analyst on a full-time basis in Madrid, Spain.Applicants should already have the right to work in the EUApplicants should be comfortable with a hybrid Madrid-based work setting (3 home + 2 office days/week)Applicants should have a professional-level proficiency in English As a Senior (T3) Cybersecurity Analyst, you will be you'll be monitoring current threats by analysing and handling major cyber incidents, implementing standards and mentoring less experienced analysts.As part of the Security Team, Cyber Defense is responsible for maintaining security operations, focused on delivering high-quality detection monitoring and response solutions.We're looking for an experienced cybersecurity professional who'll use their creative thinking to manage the production of detection content, investigation of incidents, and helping us to improve our incident response techniques.Key Responsibilities:Proactively identify and respond to cyber threatsImplement and ensure appropriate standardsMentor team membersCraft detection contentPrioritize triage eventsImprove existing detection content and playbooksEnsure in-time incident responsePerform on-duty/ on-call supportHandle major security incidentsUnderstand the environment and applicationsAnalyse and document incidentsMinimum Requirements:5+ years work experience in cyber security as an analyst or incident responder in a SOC/CSIRT setup.In-depth knowledge of current threat landscape, offensive tooling, and OWASP and MITRE ATT&CK® techniquesTechnical writing skills to present complex topics to non-technical audiencesExcellent oral and written communication skills in EnglishMalware and exploit analysis (or reverse engineering)Developing hypothesis-driven threat huntsAnalysing various events, including but not limited to web traffic, underlying network protocols, malware, lateral movement TTPs (techniques, tactics, and procedures), or Microsoft and Linux security eventsLogfile correlation and analysisSystem and memory analysisChain of custody and forensic acquisitionsMajor incident response or breach investigation managementNice-to-have: Experience developing in Python, Kusto, or any other scripting languageNice-to-have: Experience with Azure or Amazon AWS
