Job Title: Vice President, Global RewardsLocation: Madrid, SpainCompany Overview:Our client is a leading industrial company with a global presence, headquartered in Madrid. The company is known for its innovative solutions and commitment to sustainability across various industries, including manufacturing, energy, and infrastructure. As the company continues to expand, they are seeking a dynamic and strategic Vice President of Global Rewards to lead the development and execution of their global compensation and benefits strategies.Position Overview:The Vice President of Global Rewards will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing the company’s global compensation, benefits, and rewards programs to attract, retain, and motivate top talent. Reporting to the Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO), the role will be based in Madrid and will involve close collaboration with regional HR leaders, senior management, and other key stakeholders. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in rewards strategy, experience in managing global programs, and a passion for driving employee engagement through innovative reward solutions. Experience with joint ventures will be considered a significant advantage.Key Responsibilities:Global Rewards Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive global rewards strategy that aligns with the company’s business objectives, culture, and values.Compensation Management: Lead the design, implementation, and management of compensation structures, including base pay, incentives, executive compensation, and long-term incentive plans, ensuring market competitiveness and regulatory compliance.Benefits Programs: Oversee the development and administration of global benefits programs, including health and wellness, retirement plans, and employee assistance programs, to support employee well-being.Executive Compensation: Partner with the CHRO and senior leadership to design and manage executive compensation packages, including performance-based incentives and equity programs.Joint Ventures: Leverage expertise in joint venture environments to design and adapt rewards programs that support the unique needs and structures of joint ventures.Market Analysis: Conduct regular market analysis to benchmark compensation and benefits practices against industry standards, ensuring the company remains competitive in attracting and retaining talent.Budget Management: Oversee the global rewards budget, ensuring effective cost management and alignment with financial goals.Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure all rewards programs comply with local, regional, and global regulations, and effectively manage risks associated with compensation and benefits practices.Employee Communication: Develop and implement communication strategies to promote the value of the company’s rewards programs to employees, enhancing understanding and engagement.Team Leadership: Lead and develop a global rewards team, fostering a high-performance culture and driving continuous improvement in rewards processes and programs.Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with HR business partners, finance, legal, and senior management to support broader business goals and drive the company’s people strategy.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field; advanced degree (e.g., MBA, Master’s in HR) preferred.10+ years of experience in compensation, benefits, or total rewards, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role managing global programs.Proven track record in designing and implementing global rewards strategies, particularly in an industrial or manufacturing environment.Experience with joint ventures is a strong plus, including the ability to navigate complex business structures and adapt rewards programs accordingly.In-depth knowledge of executive compensation, incentive programs, and benefits management.Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make strategic decisions.Exceptional leadership skills, with experience in leading and developing high-performing teams.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.Fluent in English; proficiency in Spanish or other languages is a strong advantage.
