WEB PERFORMANCE AND TECHNICAL SEO COORDINATOR

Job Title: Web Performance and Technical SEO CoordinatorDuration: Long Term project (initial fixed term contract)Location: Barcelona (3 days onsite, 2 days remote)Setup: FreelanceAs a Web Performance and Technical SEO Specialist, you will be responsible for optimizing the performance and technical SEO aspects of our web platforms. Therefore, you will play a key role in ensuring that our websites meet and exceed industry-leading performance standards, and that search engines can properly crawl, render and index our content.The key skills needed are expertise in web performance optimization, Core Web Vitals, technical SEO, proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, experience with rendering techniques and analytics tools, strong analytical and project management skills, and effective communication abilities.Key Responsibilities:- Work with development teams to identify and resolve Core Web Vitals bottlenecks on web platforms.- Proactively identify and provide guidance on how to resolve front-end performance issues through in-depth debugging and analysis.- Manage, inspire, and coach a small team of people that is actively working on analyzing web performance and technical SEO aspects of our web platforms.- Identify and provide guidance on how to fix technical SEO issues that might be causing crawling, rendering or indexing issues.- Run periodic technical SEO audits to ensure the platforms don't suffer any regression that might impact SEO results.- Report and communicate effectively with stakeholders to convey technical concepts and performance and technical SEO optimization recommendations.- Define, prioritize, and organize web performance and technical SEO tasks.- Interpret KPIs and other relevant metrics, and make data-driven decisionsRequirements:- Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.- Familiarity with different rendering techniques (SSR, CSR, SSG, hydration, partial hydration…).- Experience with RUM and synthetic monitoring tools.- Proven experience with Core Web Vitals optimization, debugging web performance front-end issues, and defining technical implementations to fix any identified problems.- Familiarity with querying CrUX data in BigQuery.- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and act upon performance results, potential impact, and development efforts.- Project management and team lead skills, with experience planning, defining, prioritizing, and organizing technical tasks.- Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders, as well as being able to define and implement comprehensive dashboards to communicate progress and results.- Expertise with web components and Sveltekit is a strong plus.If you are passionate about web performance and technical SEO optimization, and have the required skills and expertise, we encourage you to apply and become a part of our top-notch team!
