With a commitment to delivering high-quality education and fostering a dynamic learning environment, we are seeking an Academic Coordinator to join our team in Madrid.Job Summary:As an Academic Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of academic processes and supporting various aspects of academic planning and management. This position will require your expertise in overseeing academic procedures, collaborating with faculty members, organizing extracurricular activities, and assisting in the development of new study programs. You will contribute to the success of our institution by upholding accreditation standards, promoting student satisfaction, and supporting the general management team in achieving organizational goals.Responsibilities:- Oversee academic procedures, including registration, timetables, and grades, to ensure compliance with established policies and guidelines.- Collaborate with the academic planning team to select and schedule faculty members for courses.- Supervise course syllabi and contents to ensure alignment with accreditation standards and program objectives.- Act as a campus facility manager, addressing, resolving, and/or escalating issues related to operations and IT and other infrastructures in order to guarantee a continuous operational cycle.- Plan and coordinate extracurricular activities, industrial visits, and global study trips to enhance student's educational experiences.- Support transformation initiatives aimed at enhancing the learning environment and student outcomes.- Settle meetings with students for academic advising, providing guidance on course selection, academic progress, and career development when needed.- Address and resolve problems and issues related to students and student satisfaction, ensuring a positive learning experience.- Conduct individual meetings with faculty members to address academic-related issues and provide support as necessary.- Act as a liaison between faculty, staff, and students to facilitate effective communication and resolve campus-related issues.Requirements:We are looking for a professional with a minimum of 2-3 years of experience in higher education.The ideal candidate should have:- High level of written and spoken English;- Bachelor's degree in a related field (Master's degree preferred);- Previous experience in academic coordination or related roles within an educational institution;- Strong organizational and administrative skills, with meticulous attention to detail;- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;- Proficiency in MS Office Suite and familiarity with educational technology;- Knowledge of accreditation processes and standards;- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment;GBSB Global Business School is a private educational institution in Malta, Spain, and Switzerland that teaches business in English at undergraduate (Bachelor) and graduate (Master) levels and is dedicated to preparing students for the careers of the global economy.
