ResponsibilitiesFinancial Recording:Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger entries, and financial transactions.Ensure adherence to accounting principles and standards (e.g., GAAP, IFRS) in recording financial data.Financial Reporting:Prepare financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, on a regular basis.Generate financial reports and analysis for management, stakeholders, and regulatory authorities as required.Budgeting and Forecasting:Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts, collaborating with relevant departments to gather necessary data.Monitor budget performance and provide variance analysis to support decision-making.Tax Compliance:Assist in the preparation and filing of tax returns, including income tax, sales tax, and other applicable taxes, ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations.Maintain records and documentation for tax reporting purposes.Audit Support:Support internal and external audit processes by providing documentation, explanations, and assistance as needed.Ensure compliance with audit requirements and address any findings or recommendations.Payroll Processing:Process payroll accurately and timely, ensuring compliance with wage and hour regulations and company policies.Calculate and withhold payroll taxes, benefits deductions, and other payroll-related obligations.Accounts Payable and Receivable:Manage accounts payable functions, including processing invoices, verifying expenses, and making payments to vendors.Handle accounts receivable processes, including invoicing customers, tracking payments, and following up on overdue accounts.Fixed assets:Manage fix functions, including additions and disposals of fixed assets, depretiation calculation and bookingInternal Controls and Compliance:Establish and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets, prevent fraud, and ensure accuracy of financial records.Monitor compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and regulations.Financial Systems Management:Utilize accounting software and systems to perform financial tasks efficiently and accurately.Assist in the implementation and optimization of financial systems and processes as needed.Cross-functional Collaboration:Collaborate with other departments such as finance, operations, and procurement to ensure alignment of financial activities with business objectives.Provide financial expertise and support to other functional areas as required.Skills & RequirementsBachelor's degree in Business or related fieldMinimum of three years of experience as na accountant or similar role.Strong knowledge of Spanish GAAP, IFRS rulesExcellent research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.Proficient in both English and Spanish languages.What We OfferGrowth Opportunities: Be part of a rapidly growing company with significant career development potential.Hybrid Work Environment: Enjoy the flexibility of remote work while benefiting from in-person collaboration at our Madrid office.Innovative Culture: Work with a team that is passionate about what they do, in an environment that fosters creativity and innovation.What makes us differentAt Stratio we believe that people are at the heart of projects, this is why it is important for us to be able to work with freedom and responsibility.
