We have expanded our business and opened a new office in Madrid, where we are growing and forming a cutting-edge team since 2020.The purpose of the Accounting Specialist is reporting to the CFO, handling of the financial accounting (accounts receivable and accounts payable), performing the month-end provision, and keeping the accounts related reconciled. This person is also responsible for the coordination of the team members in order to be aligned and be able to make a common report to the CFO.Job DescriptionThe Accounting Specialist will manage a set of accounting activities to ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles, corporate policies and external audits. This person will manage the accounts payable function, monthly closing of accounts and preparation of reports in support of the financial statements. The Accounting Specialist will report and work closely with the CFO and will be part of the accounting team composed by 2 more collaborators.The ideal candidate possesses leadership capabilities, analytical skills, solid operational and technical accounting background, and works proactively to drive results. This person is a self-starter, flexible, has a high level of integrity, and is action and goal-oriented in a fast-paced, team-oriented and collaborative environment.Main responsibilitiesManaging all main and sub ledger accounting activities (Treasury, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Fixed Assets, Payroll posting, Operational Costs, Travel Expenses).Review, correct and secure current accounting record.Reconciliation of Customer accounts, Supplier Accounts and GL Accounts.Analyses and improvement of internal processes.Collaborate with external auditors to ensure successful audit results and compliance.Full responsibility of the Spanish company's accounting such as closing reports, coordinate the closing process (monthly, quarterly, yearly) with external service providers (payroll, taxes).RequirementsProficiency in English, additional language skills such as French, German or Italian are highly valued.Deep knowledge of SAP Business One is a plus.Deep knowledge of Excel is a plus.High interest in new technology such as BI and AI.College degree in Finance or equivalent.Minimum of 1 years’ experience in a similar position.Skills and responsibilitiesKeep daily track of the banksAccounts Payable - In order to maintain great relationships with vendors, making sure that everyone gets paid on time.Reporting to the CFO on all day-to-day issues.Responsible for reconciling payments and accounts.Team player and open-minded.Ability to plan and priories with a flexible and positive mindset.Understanding of general business dynamics and processes.Analytical skills.Demonstrable ability to multi-task and adhere to deadlines.Working timeThe company offers flexitime From Monday to Thursday between 08:00 h and 09:00 h, with 1-hour lunch until 17:00 h and 18:00 h and Fridays from 08:00 h to 15:00 h.Homework is available to all team members four times per week, attendance to the office is organized once per week.24 days of holidays per year plus 24 and 31 December.Young, international and dynamic team.Posibility to grow in a swiss/spanish company.
