ACCOUNTING & TAX ANALYST

Position OverviewWe are seeking a dynamic Finance Tax & Accounting Analyst with proven expertise in the following domains: Tax, Accounting and ERP, to join our Finance team. The Finance Analyst will play a pivotal role in supporting our financial operations and strategic decision-making processes within the renewable energy sector. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial management control, accounting and tax compliance, and a passion for sustainability.Key Responsibilities: The ideal candidate must have proven expertise in the following domains: Tax, Accounting and ERP Financial Analysis and Reporting:Conduct financial analysis to support decision-making processes and strategic initiatives.Prepare and present financial reports, forecasts, and performance metrics to senior management.Monitor key financial indicators and provide insights into financial performance.Establish and maintain financial controls and procedures to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with internal policies.Implement corrective actions and best practices to enhance financial management processes.Collaborate with department heads to develop annual budgets and long-term financial forecasts.Track budget performance and variance analysis, identifying areas for improvement and cost-saving opportunities.Provide guidance on budget allocation to support business objectives.Ensure compliance with environmental regulations, government incentives, and reporting requirements.Accounting and Taxation:Oversee day-to-day accounting activities, including general ledger management, accounts payable/receivable, and payroll.Ensure compliance with accounting principles, regulatory requirements, and tax laws.Assist in monthly group financial statements, including cash flow statements.Coordinate with external advisors for tax filings.Prepare and file Spanish tax returns in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.Assist in the preparation of tax provisions, estimates, and disclosures for financial reporting purposes.Support the preparation of tax provisions, accruals, and reconciliations for financial statement reporting.Assist in the calculation and documentation of uncertain tax positions and other tax-related reserves.Prepare tax-related disclosures and footnotes for financial statements in accordance with accounting standards.Monitor changes in fiscal regulations, laws, and accounting standards to ensure compliance with reporting requirements.Assist in responding to inquiries and requests from tax authorities and regulatory agencies.Assist with new ERP system. Qualifications:Proven expertise in the following domains: Tax, Accounting and ERP Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.Strong understanding of financial statements, tax laws and regulations.From 1-3 years of experience in finance roles, with specific experience in financial management control, accounting, and tax compliance.Proficiency in Spanish and English. Proficiency in tax preparation software, ERPs, and financial accounting systems.Proven track record in the renewable energy sector or related industries.Strong analytical skills and proficiency in financial modeling and forecasting.Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and compliance.Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
