Job Description Our Finance and Administration department delivers efficient and effective operations and processes that are foundational to EcoVadis’ ability to drive continuous improvement in companies’ sustainable business practices at scale.
EcoVadis is looking for a motivated and dynamic Collection Associate to join our Finance team in Barcelona.
This is an exciting opportunity for a junior financial professional or data analyst with some customer-facing experience who is eager to grow in a collaborative, flexible, and international environment.
About the Role.
As a Collection Associate, you will play a crucial role in managing and recovering customer receivables.
You will connect with clients, collect payments, and resolve any issues, all while maintaining a professional relationship.
This role is perfect for someone who enjoys structured work and wants to contribute to a company that values teamwork, continuous learning, and global impact.
What You’ll Do.
Manage Receivables.
Engage with a portfolio of aging accounts via phone and email to recover past due amounts.
Resolve Disputes.
Research and resolve disputed accounts by identifying the root cause and escalating issues when necessary.
Document Communication.
Keep detailed notes of all interactions and follow up on any agreed-upon actions.
Meet Targets.
Achieve collection targets and exceed service level agreements.
Support Customers.
Respond promptly to customer queries, ensuring a positive experience with every interaction.
Collaborate Globally.
Work closely with international colleagues and internal stakeholders to resolve collection queries and improve processes.
Contribute to EcoVadis's Mission.
Provide customer feedback to help improve our products and services.
Qualifications What We’re Looking For.
Languages.
Fluency in Spanish and English is required; additional languages are a plus.
Education.
A degree in Business, Management, Finance, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
Experience.
between 6 months and 2 years in a customer-facing role.
Experience in billing or collections is beneficial but not essential.
Skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and work effectively in a team.
Mindset.
Customer-focused, results-driven, and self-motivated, with a positive attitude and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
