This junior-level position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, defending a variety of customers and their infrastructure from cyber threats. If you are passionate about Information Security, enjoy protecting systems, identifying anomalies, and solving problems creatively, we want to hear from you!ResponsibilitiesAnalyze and verify security threat monitoring alerts to identify, classify, and prioritize incidents.Create, improve, and maintain security monitoring alerts by correlating data from various sources.Operate and maintain IDS/IPS systems, working closely with security/network architects to enhance security monitoring and defenses.Respond to security incidents and investigations, collaborating with customers and IT providers to meet SLA requirements.Conduct forensics and malware analysis to extract indicators of compromise, evaluate incident scope and impact, and implement mitigation and containment strategies.Report to the SOC Manager and the involved customer CISO/CIO.Required:Degree in Computer/Telecommunications Engineering or a related discipline.Technical understanding of network fundamentals and common Internet protocols.Knowledge of system administration and security architecture.Familiarity with key security monitoring tools (FW, IDS/IPS, Endpoint security, WAF, SIEM).Advanced proficiency in English (written and spoken).Fluent/Bilingual in Spanish.Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team in a challenging environment.Strong attention to detail.Nice to have:Proficiency in understanding Operating Systems and their architectures: Windows, Unix/Linux, and OSX.Experience working in IT or Cybersecurity teams.Programming or scripting skills in Bash, Python, or PowerShell.Good understanding of the cybersecurity landscape: Cyber kill chain, TTP, Threat Intelligence, and malware distribution networks.Strong grasp of information security concepts: defense in depth, BYOD management, data loss protection, risk assessment, and security metrics.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to work in a highly collaborative environment.Initiative, follow-up, and follow-through with commitments.Ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-pressure environment.Relevant certifications (GCIH, GCFA, GCFE, GREM, CISSP) are a plus.What we offer:Remote work: Work remotely from anywhere, with occasional on-site presence for company events and training.Competitive salary.Rotating shifts: 8h to 17h or 11h to 20h.At Ackcent, we celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees.
