REGIONAL/AREA SALES MANAGER – Spain (Southern region) - Home basedFounded in 1992, Optos (part of Nikon) is a leading medical technology company for the design, development, manufacturing and marketing of retinal imaging devices. Optos' core devices produce ultra-widefield, high resolution digital images (optomap®) of approximately 82% and 200◦ of the retina, something no other device is capable of doing in any single image. An optomap image provides a bigger picture and more clinical information which facilitates the early detection, management and effective treatment of disorders and diseases evidenced in the retina such as retinal detachments and tears, glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy and age-related macular degeneration. Retinal imaging can also indicate evidence of non-eye or systemic diseases such as hypertension and certain cancers.Headquartered in Scotland. Optos is a fast-growing international company with operations in the US, Canada, UK, France, Germany, Austria, Norway, Australia, Spain and Switzerland.We are now looking for a Regional Sales Manager in Southern Spain (region including and south of Albacete and Alicante down to Andalusia). Reporting to the Business Development Director, you will be responsible to achieve sales in your region by developing excellent relationships with the target group of customers, primarily Ophthalmologists and Optometrists (private, clinics & hospitals).Main Responsibilities:Provide dedicated Optos product sales to Ophthalmologists and Optometrists within your region and develop strong relationships with eye care specialists and medical professionals.Conduct initial in-service and continuing education with customers on product use and procedures and provide ongoing guidance and communication to customers in order to ensure proper use of equipment and productivity.Work in partnership with other members of Optos Customer Focus Group to implement efficient sales and support strategies, and ensure high customer satisfaction in installed sites in the region.Raise awareness of Optos and its “customer focused” culture.Assist with shows and additional sales & marketing requirements. If required, evaluate prototype products during development and provide clinical feedback to engineering and marketing departments.Maintain comprehensive knowledge and understanding of Optos products and services while remaining current on techniques, the marketplace and competition.Produce timely and accurate reports on documentation in accordance with company requirements.Assist in the development of training materials for operators and patients.Knowledge and experience required:Experience of medical instrumentation or Ophthalmology sales.Experience working at trade shows/exhibition stands.Good written and verbal communication.Good interpersonal skills and the ability to deal with a diverse range of customers are essential to this role.Self-starter, able to use initiative, good business acumen.Sophisticated, consultative style.Excellent organisational skills and strategic thinking skills.Good computer skills (MS Office applications) and territory management systems.Native Spanish speaker with good command of English.Interested?
