Responsibilities.
Assess and analyze the current VMware infrastructure to facilitate the migration to Azure.
Design and plan migration strategies for workloads from VMware to Azure, ensuring operational continuity.
Implement migration solutions using tools such as Azure Migrate, Azure Site Recovery, and other relevant Azure services.
Develop and execute the migration process, including the configuration of networks, storage, and virtual machines in Azure.
Optimize the Azure infrastructure post-migration to ensure performance and security.
Work closely with development, operations, and security teams to ensure migrations meet technical and business requirements.
Provide technical support and troubleshooting during and after the migration.
Document procedures, configurations, and best practices for managing the Azure infrastructure.
Train and mentor other team members on managing Azure environments and migration best practices.
Qualifications.
Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent work experience.
Required Skills.
Proven experience in administering and managing VMware environments (vSphere, vCenter, etc.).
Solid experience in migrating workloads from VMware to Microsoft Azure.
Advanced knowledge of Azure services, including virtual machines, virtual networks, storage, and security.
Experience with migration tools such as Azure Migrate, Azure Site Recovery, etc.
Knowledge of scripting and automation (PowerShell, Azure CLI, Terraform, etc.).
Ability to solve complex problems and provide effective solutions.
English.
B2/C1 Strong communication skills and the ability to work in a team.
Relevant Azure certifications (Azure Administrator, Azure Solutions Architect) are a plus.
