The role   We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Middle Backup Specialist to join our dynamic IT team.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of backup best practices and technologies, and a proven track record of implementing and managing robust backup solutions.
Key Responsibilities.
Backup and Recovery Management.
o Design, implement, and manage backup and recovery strategies for critical systems and data.
o Monitor and optimize backup jobs, ensuring data integrity and availability.
o Perform regular backup and recovery tests to validate system functionality.
o Troubleshoot and resolve backup and recovery issues promptly.
· Infrastructure Management.
o Maintain and upgrade backup infrastructure, including hardware and software components.
o Monitor system performance and capacity, and take proactive measures to optimize resource utilization.
o Implement security measures to protect backup data from unauthorized access and threats.
Documentation and Reporting.
o Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for backup procedures and processes.
o Generate regular reports on backup status, performance, and capacity.
o Analyze backup data to identify trends and potential issues.
Continuous Improvement.
o Stay updated on the latest backup technologies and industry best practices.
o Research and evaluate new backup solutions to improve efficiency and reliability.
o Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement and automation.
What we need to see from you Required Qualifications.
· Strong understanding of backup technologies, including tape, disk, and cloud-based solutions.
· Experience with backup software (e.
., Veeam, Commvault, Veritas).
· Proficiency in scripting languages (e.
., PowerShell, Python) for automation.
· Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
· Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications.
· Experience with cloud-based backup solutions (e.
., Azure Backup, AWS Backup).
· Knowledge of virtualization technologies (e.
., VMware, Hyper-V).
· Certifications in relevant backup technologies.
