BID SPECIALIST - SENIOR

Hello there! We’re Vodafone Intelligent Solutions (also known as _VOIS) and we’re looking for a   Bid Specialist - Senior     Your role in a nutshell.
The Senior Bid Manager is responsible for managing bids from qualification to submission or contracting and for providing support to the account team in bid preparation and customer negotiation.
Owns and drives the appropriate opportunity governance and manages a virtual project team from a pool of global resources.
The Bid Manager shapes the deal strategy in order to maximize chances of winning the business.
Understands the customer's goals and how multiple scenarios might evolve through the opportunity lifecycle, structure win themes accordingly.
Ensures alignment across a robust set of internal stakeholders behind the opportunity strategy.
Ensures that bid and pre-sales commercial activities are managed in a timely manner, meeting the company's objectives and mitigating potential risks.
Creates quality proposals for Vodafone's enterprise international clients that satisfy both the customer's and the company's requirements and prepare the bid proposal for approval.
Presents the proposal to the customer and to take part in negotiations.
What you’ll do.
•    Be responsible for global (multi-country) and high complexity bids/ RFPs with bespoke elements, where limited or no standard content is available.
Manage these bid projects/ RFP responses from qualification to submission or contracting, where limited bespoke solution and complete bespoke proposal content are required  •     Ensure that the appropriate stakeholders are involved  •     Facilitate efficient communication of the bid strategy and the Vodafone propositions on meetings with customers upon request.
Build the bid presentation and coach the team if required  •     Lead sign-on/ bid qualification meetings involving all functions.
Make sound decisions based on inputs received  •     Review and present the commercial propositions of a proposal  •     Based on a high level understanding of technically bespoke solutions, assess implications of changes compared to standard offerings  •     Manage opportunity qualification & approval  •     Manage complex opportunities, customer relations and risks associated with bidding/ no-bidding  •     Assess risks related to the bid, all over its lifecycle and propose mitigation  •     Based on an understanding of various contracting possibilities and main legal/ commercial terms and conditions, propose right alternative for the given opportunity  •     Identify new content that may be re-usable   .
What you’ll bring to the team.
•    Experience in bids & proposals – in Purchasing and/or Sales, Telecoms is an advantage •    Fluent English •    Experience in customer facing negotiations (desired) •    2-4 years strategic project management knowledge or equivalent •    Commercial and/or sales experience, commercial acumen •    Confident in facilitating complex virtual teams, proven assertive communication skills •    Excellent relationship building and stakeholder management skills •    Accuracy, attention to detail and analytical skills •    Mentoring and coaching skills •    Analytical and decision-making skills     In return we provide you with.
