Position summary:The Sales Account Manager for Business Development (100% hunting) is responsible for developing new business relationships, in this instance specifically with clients principally in the clinical & pharma sector, and serving as the first level of support to prospective clients. The role will be 100% hunting, which involves the full sales cycle from prospection to onboarding of new clients, but not the consequent ongoing account management of these accounts.The successful candidate will join TransPerfect´s Trial Interactive division (https://www.trialinteractive.com/). Position responsibilities: Develop an effective understanding of the capability, benefits and competitive advantages of TransPerfect’s servicesIdentify prospective customers and individual organizations to focus on sales activitiesDevelop new client relationships via cold calling, internet, and trade showsIn coordination with Sales Management, identify, qualify, develop and close sales opportunitiesPromote and educate clients regarding TransPerfect’s servicesProvide customer support and manage client expectations in liaison with the Production teamManage and control pricing and contractual issues by developing a thorough understanding of company proceduresCross-sell and upsell various services and solutions into various departments within the client´s company with an eye to optimize account profitabilityTake an active role in learning about each client’s industry, business needs and company culture to identify new business opportunities and provide a high level of servicePerform other special projects or duties when requiredPerform any other special tasks that are deemed appropriate for this role as assigned by the manager/supervisorEssential skills and experience required: Minimum Bachelor’s Degree or its equivalentNative level of GermanSuperior written and spoken communication skills in EnglishPrevious Sales experience (1 year)Ability to build and maintain relationshipsMotivated with a proactive attitudeResults-driven, ability to work independently and take ownershipGood analytical skills needed to project revenues, monitor budgets and other necessary calculationsProficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)Interest in Strategic Business Development as a long-term career pathMost importantly, the ideal candidate must demonstrate ability to: multitask in a fast-paced environment, work well with people from a variety of different backgrounds and cultures, build strategic relationships with clients and co-workers, work as part of a team, take active measures to solve problems and commit to a high level of serviceDesired skills and experience:Professional experience working within a corporate role for clients within the pharma sectorSales experience specifically within a role that´s involved hunting for new businessExperience managing the full sales cycle from prospection to closing dealsProfessional working proficiency in Italian would be a huge plus, additional languages are also highly valuedTransPerfect and its companies provides equal employment opportunities to all individuals regardless of their race, color, creed, religion, gender, age, sexual orientation, national origin, disability, veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by local law.
