BUSINESS UNIT MANAGER - CHALLENGER BRANDS

Lead, motivate, manage and build the sales team, including recruitment, training, development, and performance management; Currently a team of 4.
General management
Be the point of contact for sourcing new and current brands including relationship building, signing contracts, price negotiations;
Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies to achieve company objectives and revenue targets;
Conduct market analysis to identify opportunities, trends, and competitive threats, and adjust strategies accordingly;
Create annual sales plans, including sales forecasts, budgets, and resource allocation;
Implement and enforce company policies and procedures related to sales and distribution.
Ensure efficient sales operations, including order processing, inventory management, and logistics coordination;
Monitor sales processes and workflows, identifying areas for improvement and implementing best practices;
Business Development
Identify and establish new sales channels to expand market reach and increase sales opportunities
Develop strategies to optimize the performance of different sales channels, including direct sales and online platforms;
Analyze sales data, performance metrics, and market trends to assess the effectiveness of sales strategies and tactics;
Use data-driven insights to make informed decisions and adjustments to sales plans and strategies;
Desired skills and qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, supply chain, business, or a related field.
10+ years of business development experience, ideally in a commercial FMCG environment;
Demonstrated ability to build and lead a team.
Strong understanding of market research, data analysis, and strategy development.
Ability to translate marketing strategies across different markets.
Willingness to travel to different countries, meeting brand owners, attending events.
Knowledge of supply chain; cash usage (payments, creditors and stock level);
Proficiency in digital marketing and social media platforms.
Strong project management and organizational skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Outstanding sales vision;
Fluent in English, French or German would be a bonus!
