Who are we looking for ?CTTC is searching for interested candidates in a R2- Researcher permanent position in Data Science to work with any of its research areas https://www.cttc.cat/research-units/ with vision and entrepreneurship for the future and that complements them well. Mainly we are looking for skills in cybersecurity and trustworthy learning systems; alternatively, experience in explainable AI , Generative AI, imaging, representation Learning or Large Language Models is also welcome. The goal is to perform cutting-edge research and innovation in data science at the intersection of telecommunications networking and artificial intelligence. The candidate will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and contribute to high-impact publications and project deliverables. Even if you do not meet this requirement and you have technical expertise in Telecommunications engineering or Geomatics, according to the Qualifications and Experience section, you are encouraged to apply.What do we offer? :

Qualifications and Experience
We are looking for a highly motivated, enthusiastic, energetic person, aiming at significantly improving his or her career perspectives in both public and private sectors. The successful applicant should have the competencies of R2 category.
Required qualification/skills/experience:
Bachelor, Master or PhD degree
Entrepreneurship
Indicate and demonstrate the specific technical skill where the candidate considers that it is very good at.
Demonstrated systematic understanding of the field in which he focuses his R&D activity.
Ability to conceive, design, implement a personal R&D plan.
Contribution that extends the frontier of knowledge supported in a substantial work of innovation or application.
Demonstrated ability in analysis, evaluation and synthesis of new ideas.
Ability to communicate with colleagues, especially in the scientific-technical interest of your research and its impact on the research community.
Co-author of publications, invention declarations and participation in international conferences.
Completed assigned tasks in the context of competitive projects or grants in an autonomous manner.
Other skills that are valuable, but not mandatory are:
Expertise in optimization and control algorithms, machine learning, reinforcement learning, deep learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch),
Expertise in programming languages (e.g., Python, C++),
Experience in data analytics, model validation, and performance evaluation in real-world network scenarios is highly desirable.
Experience in scientific/technical dissemination

The Center Tecnològic de Telecomunicaciones de Catalunya (CTTC) is a non-profit public sector
research institution dedicated to fundamental and applied research activities, focused mainly on technologies related to the physical, data link and network layers of communication systems and Geomatics.
