CAPACITY PLANNING & NETWORK STRATEGY MODELLER

Overview PepsiCo is looking for an experienced Capacity Planning & Network Strategy Modeler to join in one of our European hubs (Vitoria, Spain; Krakow or Warsaw, Poland; Istanbul, Turkey; Bucharest, Romania).
Job Purpose The Network Strategy Design Modeler is a critical role in enhancing Europe supply chain efficiency through the build & deployment of E2E modelling solutions to enable identification and delivery of transformational productivities.
This role designs and develops network models that assess manufacturing, transportation, distribution and inventory strategies to enhance overall efficiency of the E2E SC.
This is through the leverage of advanced modelling “Llamasoft” or other tools to achieve these goals.
The role requires the ability to gather, analyse and interpret supply chain data to provide actionable insights, influence and communicate recommendations to senior stakeholders (to Snr director / VP level) in a clear and concise manner.
Key to the role is demonstrating strong leadership & interpersonal skills, leading projects and partnering with business unit teams to bring projects from concept to realization, through identification and delivery of value realization opportunities.
Responsibilities • Build and develop E2E modelling solutions partnering with other Sector and market teams to deliver the productivity agenda.
• Use extensive knowledge of supply chain practices and/or simulate scenarios using Supply Chain Guru (Coupa/llamasoft suite of tools) to identify E2E opportunities eg., sourcing, transportation, warehouse, inventory.
• Define and Implement Network optimization standards, best practices (data + modelling), process and toolkits.
• Operate as modeler project lead on Llamasoft Supply Chain Guru and Data Guru o Define, align and document project objectives, requirements, and modelling approach o Build Network models and develop to-be/what-if scenario to provide insights to help resolve the problem statement and drive the decision making process o Maintain and refresh models on periodic basis in line with the PepsiCo planning cycles to support ACP, PSP decision making processes.
• Develop presentations, data visualizations, calculating the financial impact of various scenarios and presenting recommendations to stakeholders / internal customers • Work with Sr.
Managers, Directors and rest of modelling and data team on developing innovative solutions, leveraging internal tools, knowledge, and external insights to develop agile methodology for network model build and updates.
• Interact with BU/Project SMEs, understanding voice of the customer (up to VP level), taking into account all data components, links, flows, products and relevant cost elements.
Qualifications • Technical Capabilities o Proficient in Llamasoft/Coupa end-to-end supply chain modelling tool including manufacturing, distribution, transportation, and inventory aspects o Extensive knowledge of key principles of supply chain optimization such as planning, transportation, inventory, and strategic sourcing o Previous experience of Network modelling to define and create optimization opportunities o Conceptual thinker.
Ability to translate business logic into modelling concepts and vice versa o Demonstrated examples of creatively utilizing analytical/mathematical skills with results o Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau o Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Access and Word) o Advanced degree preferred in Engineering, Business, Operations Research or similar • Leadership Capabilities o Strong business partnering and stakeholder management experience with ability to work with multiple stakeholders at different levels of the organization o Demonstrated influencing skills to take others with you” o Cross industry Chain experience to bring “outside in best practise”to PepsiCo o Excellent communicator, with strong proficiency in English (written & verbal) o Strong project management skills and excellent planning bias o Building and maintaining trusting relationships across organizational boundaries by role modeling integrity, transparency, authenticity, and being respectful and inclusive of others.
o Demonstrated success with clear and concise and appropriate communication in a variety of situations including explanation of assumptions and results.
