Lead and coordinate the integrated, multidisciplinary, and cross-functional Business Development Project teams, to identify, originate and develop Green Hydrogen and byproducts projects up to a Final Investment Decision (FID), compromising the company from thousand million euros to c.
one and half billion of associated investment.
Accountable to propose and present to the Business Development Director, Hydrogen Director and to the rest of the Steering Committee Project, all the key decisions and recommendations throughout the lifecycle of the project and execute the decisions taken.
Resources and teams.
external and internal, advisors/consultants, legal firms, investment banks, etc… Budget request and control management of the approved budget to carry out the work (typical hydrogen project budget until FID ~35MM€).
Lead, integrate and manage all project activities thorough technical and non-technical disciplines, such as TPS, Bios, Renewables, Gas&Power, Trading, M&A, HR, Communication, HSE, Legal, Finance, Tax, Marketing and assets to come with integrated project solutions.
Lead the negotiation with counterparties (all the stakeholders as the case may be) the most favourable conditions for MOEVE.
Roles/Responsibilities Lead, coordinate, plan, and execute the development of hydrogen and byproducts opportunities throughout the stages of the project life cycle, from origination to FID.
Manage and coordinate activities of the different integrated and multidisciplinary team members, both internal and external, to allow MOEVEto present the best-in-class opportunities to the Steering Committee and BoD.
Ensure the quality of the Opportunities in each of its different aspects (Technical, Project Development, Commercial, Economics, Legal….) looking for high quality investments Managing the scouting, origination, development, and monitoring of renewable energy and green hydrogen and byproduct project opportunities.
Identify, prioritize and capture Business Development Opportunities for the Hydrogen Business Unit, within the geographical areas of focus framed in the Strategic Plan.
Perform preliminary evaluations selecting the most suitable projects.
Manage allocated pipeline portfolio to increase company´s value and ensuring an appropriate decision-process.
Present and defend the opportunities and New Business Investment Proposals to the Committees and relevant Investment Committees (typically Decision Gates DG-0/DG-1/DG-2) and ensure the execution of the recommendations and decisions taken.
Conduct in-depth market research and competitive analysis on the green energy sector to understand industry trends, market dynamics and growth prospects.
Assessing strategic planning goals, and tactics.
Build and maintain a strong, broad, and active business network with other Hydrogen/Clean Energy companies (existing and new partnerships).
Represent the Company, including worldwide Congresses and industry conference.
Negotiation with the Acquiring (or selling) asset, the conditions for MOEVE’s participation in the projects within the boundaries set by the MOEVE Top Management, Investment Committee or Board of Directors.
Requirements.
High qualified Senior with extensive background and experience (15+ years), has applied the necessary skills in numerous projects and diverse areas in most instances as a leader of projects and teams.
Experience.
At least 15 years in the Energy Industry and at least 5 years managing multidisciplinary teams (technical and business support).
Experience creating and managing New Special Purpose Vehicles (SPV).
Combines managing people with a technical role with significant time in both activities.
Should have experience managing complex and critical projects in a complex and demanding environment.
Core in the development of MOEVE Hydrogen and byproducts growth opportunities.
Recognized within Hydrogen BU as a reference expert.
Languages.
Proficient in English and Spanish, French and other languages will be valued.
Other knowledges necessary for the position.
Strong knowledge of at least one technical discipline (hydrogen, renewables, oil & gas, power & electricity sector…) and good general knowledge of the broad technical aspects of the Hydrogen Business.
Strong commercial background with solid knowledge of economic valuation methodologies and commercial instruments applied in development such as.
Purchase Power Agreements, Memorandum of Understanding, Joint Development Agreements, Investment Shareholders Agreements, etc.
Deep understanding of the business environment and the strategies of the hydrogen competitors, the expectations of the sellers, and the country risks involved when entering new geographical areas.
Recognized as a highly qualified senior in one Energy discipline with extensive background and experience on multiple Asset evaluations.
Ability to impact Hydrogen Business Unit (BU) growth.
Expert level of project management process.
Ability to manage large project teams under the framework of a project.
Detailed knowledge of key energy technical disciplines.
Other capabilities (Impact in business & Scope).
Leverage his/her technical skills through the delivery of biggest results performed by the team, solving a variety of size, complexity and impactful projects with high impact to the success of the projects and Hydrogen BU growth.
Provides mentoring and advice to others in applying the skills within projects.
Solves technical and commercial problems that may have never been encountered previously in the organization.
May elaborate new procedures and company standards contributing MOEVE´s transformation.
Understands changing business needs and recommends strategies for the future.
