With a team of 5,000 employees, we provide €1.6bn energy storage solutions and services to customers worldwide, every year.About the job:For our corporate division we are looking for a: Chief Accounting Officer & Group Controller located in Azuqueca de Henares (Guadalajara).In this key position You will have wide range of responsibilities:GeneralResponsible for the validation, accuracy and integrity of the company wide accounting records and reporting framework. Oversees external and internal financial reporting processManages all the accounting processes on different levels of organization:Central – through oversight of Corporate Accounting sub-function;Local – through team of local Finance Controllers;Shared Services – through oversight of the SSC and close cooperation with it’s Director.Corporate AccountingLeads Corporate Accounting Team focused on external reporting and compilation of Quarterly and Annual Consolidated Financial Statements. Is ultimately responsible for their timely preparation, review, audit and submission.Liaises with the Audit Committee to secure FS approval within defined deadlinesManages external audit process and builds relationships with auditors.Manages the monthly pre-close and post close processes to ensure accuracy and validation.Provides technical accounting guidance to the organization including review and sign off on complex accounting topics and transactions.Responsible for accounting policies and procedures.This includes the definition, implementation and roll out/execution of processes and procedures across the business.Responsible for internal controls framework, its definition, periodical review and enforcement. Ensures their compliance with corporate finance policies and country financial requirementsCoordinates any review of Internal Controls including compliance with Corporate finance policies and country financial requirementsGroup Controlling Leads the Country Finance Teams through local Finance Controllers & Directors to ensure that all corporate and external reporting deadlines are met. Ensures accuracy of the data provided by the teams.Oversees the country operations of accounting and controls.Responsible for timely reporting of monthly financial results submitted by respective locations across the Company. Takes active role in consolidating the financial result for the company on a monthly basisManages all the regulatory compliance duties related to financial reporting and other regulations, including managing appropriate audit requests. Cooperates with Group Tax Senior Director on tax related regulatory compliance.Is one focal point for the countries on corporate related activities, including global projects that impact the wider finance group (e.g. Volta etc.).Ensures adherence to corporate policies in the local country finance teamsDrives implementation of new Oracle ERP within the company in the respective countries in line with the rollout scheduleShared ServicesLeads and oversees activities outsourced to the Shared Service Center located in Poznan through direct supervision of the SSC DirectorDefines, together with the SSC Director, the strategy of the Shared Services function in mid- to long-termEnsures process delivery and continuance of outsourced processes and compliance with the defined KPIs/SLAs in a cost competitive mannerEnsures ongoing standardization of the processes aimed at improving reporting and compliance efficiency company-wideSupport implementation of new Oracle ERP within the company in areas within SSC ScopeOur requirements:Degree in financial, accounting or related field.Minimum of 10 years demonstrated finance accounting and team management experience within an international environment.(ideally experience working in a corporate financial environment, dealing with global consolidations, certification and sign off processes at global level).Experience of working in SSC-backed financial organization.Experience of working within a cost focused environment.Knowledge of US GAAP & IFRS are essential.Strong command of Excel and other IT tools to analyze and identify problems and provide solutions using analytical skills.Fluent in English - written and verbal (at least C1 level).
