We are looking for a COO for a strategic project at a telecommunications company located in Málaga.Job SummaryThe Chief Operating Officer (COO) is a key member of the executive team responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the company. The COO will ensure that the company’s operational processes are efficient, cost-effective, and aligned with business objectives. The role involves strategic planning, project management, and collaboration across departments to drive operational excellence and customer satisfaction.Key ResponsibilitiesOperational Leadership: Oversee day-to-day operational activities, ensuring smooth, efficient, and high-quality service delivery across all functional areas including network operations, customer service, and supply chain.Strategic Planning: Collaborate with the CEO and other executives to develop and implement operational strategies that support the company’s overall goals and objectives.Network and Infrastructure Management: Ensure the optimization of the telecom network infrastructure and systems to maintain high service availability, reliability, and performance.Process Optimization: Identify opportunities to streamline operations, reduce costs, and improve efficiency through the implementation of best practices, technology, and process improvements.Team Leadership: Lead and mentor the operations team (+70 hc), ensuring professional development, high performance, and strong collaboration.Financial Oversight: Manage operational budgets, control costs, and ensure that financial targets are met. Analyze financial reports and take action to improve profitability and operational efficiency.Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that the company adheres to industry regulations, standards, and best practices, particularly in areas such as data security, service quality, and customer rights.Vendor Management: Oversee relationships with suppliers, contractors, and other third-party service providers to ensure cost-effectiveness and high service quality.Customer Satisfaction: Work closely with the customer service team to enhance the customer experience, resolve issues quickly, and drive customer loyalty and retention.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or related field (MBA preferred).Proven experience (7+ years) in operations management, ideally in the telecommunications industry, retail, or related sector.Strong leadership and management skills with experience leading cross-functional teams.Extensive experience in operation management with strong focus in strategic planning and supply chain management.Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions.Financial acumen and experience managing large operational budgets.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
