CLAIMS ENGINEER

Our portfolio consists of 40 assets with 2,048 MW of aggregate renewable energy installed generation capacity (of which approximately 72% is solar), 343 MW of efficient natural gas-fired power generation capacity, 55MWt of district heating capacity, 1,229 miles of electric transmission lines and 17.5 M ft3 per day of water desalinationWe own and manage operating facilities throughout the North America, South America and EMEA regions. More specifically, in Spain we have five solar energy facilities located throughout the country.We are currently seeking for a Claim Engineer to work with and strengthen our Insurance team based in the Madrid office.ResponsibilitiesManage and coordination the asset inspections by the insurance company.Analize for possible improvement actions to decrease the risk of the asset.Manage and coordination of claims in the assets.Control and monitoring of open claims with asset managers, brokers, insurers, loss adjuster, etc.Taking part in M&A and Development and Construction face of the projects processes and specially in Insurance Due Diligence.EducationBachelor’s degree in Engineering exceptional academics required.Master’s degree is desirable.Excellent English written and verbal communication skills - most of our work is in an international environment!Personal SkillsProblem-solving oriented and strong analytical skills.​Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills to successfully interact with multicultural and cross-functional teams.​Quick learning ability, proactiveness and positive energy.​Experience and knowledge of insurance sector and the most common insurance policies (property, general liabilities, D&O, casualties, autos, country risk).Expertise and knowledge of insurance policies, terms, conditions, exclusions, coverages, clauses of contracts, limit of liabilities, etc.Technical QualificationsAt least 3 years of relevant experience in a corporate insurance role.Experience with energy assets is desirable.Proven track record of playing a leadership role in a work environment.BenefitsCompetitive remuneration package.Growth opportunities in a promising and booming industry.A highly committed, dynamic, and challenging environment.Atlantica has a strong commitment to gender equality, active diversity, and social integration in all its stakeholders.
