The Commercial Strategy Manager is a crucial and high-impact role in the Vodafone Business Group Products and Services Team.
Working across product lines and markets, you will develop market-leading, innovative commercial strategy to guide local markets and ensure the success of products globally This role reports into the commercial strategy senior manager and will.
- Create and optimise the commercial blueprint for products including defining the recommended commercial model and example commercial packages and costs - Produce commercial guidance for the local markets detailing commercial components of the product, commercial insight, commercial advantages, pricing guidelines and best practice (both internal and external requirements) - Define data and insight requirements for commercial decision making eg customer research, price benchmarking and sales insight.
Analyse data and insight and turn into commercial recommendations - Act as commercial lead during the product development cycle, providing expert advice on commercial models, business case drivers, and commercial enablers such as supplier terms - Define commercial requirements for internal and external suppliers working closely with stakeholders including product technology, operations, VPC and local markets.
Provide commercial input into RFPs including commercial analysis and comparison of vendor proposals.
Build a detailed understanding of supplier commercials and sources of commercial advantage - Collaborate with local markets to share commercial expertise, insight and best practice and understand market needs - Work with local markets and product teams to identify opportunities to test ground-breaking commercial innovation.
Develop innovative commercial approaches in conjunction with the OpCos and ensure successful innovations are scaled.
- Build deep commercial product expertise including knowledge of cost and price drivers, suppliers and commercial terms, product performance and market trends, threats and opportunities - Produce detailed commercial models and analysis and develop recommendations to improve performance eg promotions and price changes - Deliver commercial assets which enable products to be scaled rapidly and effectively across markets   With us you will...
- Create the commercial blueprint for B&C products and produce commercial guidance to help local markets be successful - Create detailed cost and pricing models and analysis and make recommendations to optimise commercial performance - Develop innovative commercial approaches in conjunction with the local markets and product teams - Identify emerging market/customer trends and anticipate future trends.
