COST CONTROLLER

An exciting opportunity has opened up for a Cost Controller at a leading industrial company in Zona Franca. The role focuses on analyzing production costs, including materials, labor, and overheads, while supporting budget preparation and financial forecasting. The Cost Controller will work closely with the plant management team to drive financial performance and provide strategic support for key decision-making processes.Key ResponsibilitiesCost Analysis:Analyze production costs, including materials, labor, and overhead expenses.Monitor and evaluate cost deviations and recommend corrective actions.Conduct profitability evaluations for projects and new investments.Budget and Forecasting:Assist in the preparation and management of annual budgets and financial forecasts.Prepare variance analyses and develop strategies to address discrepancies.Financial Reporting and Analysis:Prepare and present detailed financial reports to management.Conduct in-depth financial analyses to support strategic decisions.Ensure compliance with corporate reporting requirements and timetables.Internal Controls and Compliance:Develop, maintain, and implement robust internal financial controls.Perform SOX testing and provide documentation for audits.Collaborate with external and internal auditors during reviews.Operational Collaboration:Act as a business partner to the plant management team, driving performance improvements in KPIs such as sales, OI, free cash flow, CapEx, and inventory.Lead and manage the finance team at the plant, fostering professional growth.Key Qualifications and SkillsEducation: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related fields.Experience: 2-3 years in Cost controlling or financial reporting roles.Technical Skills:Advanced proficiency in Excel.Knowledge of financial systems such as SAP and HFM is a plus.Language Skills:Fluency in English and Spanish (spoken and written) is required.Soft Skills:Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.Reliability in meeting deadlines and delivering high-quality results.Other Requirements:Availability of a personal vehicle for transportation.Previous experience in the manufacturing or industrial sector is advantageous.
