We focus on results, trust individuals, and support everyone on their journey.-To expand our team of Associated Consultants, we are looking for a:Cyber Security Engineer (Full-Time, Contractor)We're looking for an experienced Cyber Security Engineer with SRE & DevOps knowledge who combines a passion for IT security with SRE skills, specifically with expertise in Microsoft Identity solutions, Azure, Entra-ID, Purview, Defender, etc. These are essential and you need to have hands-on experience on them. ________________________________________________________________________________IMPORTANT: due to GDPR restrictions, this position is ONLY for people based in Europe.You can work from ANY COUNTRY in Europe. But only in Europe for this position.---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------What we are looking for:The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in DevSecOps: IT security, SRE, and infrastructure management, including hands-on experience with Microsoft Entra-ID (formerly Azure AD), Azure cloud services, Kubernetes, Helm charts, and CI/CD pipeline automation. This role will be pivotal in ensuring our systems are resilient, secure, and compliant with SOC 2 standards while facilitating smooth, efficient deployments.Key Responsibilities:Security and Compliance: Oversee and improve security posture across our infrastructure with a focus on Microsoft Entra ID and Azure. Ensure alignment with SOC 2 and vulnerability management requirements.Infrastructure Management: Utilize Kubernetes and Helm charts to manage containerized applications, ensuring scalability, resilience, and compliance.Automation and CI/CD: Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to streamline deployments and ensure security checks at every stage.Monitoring and Reliability: Implement SRE best practices, including monitoring, alerting, and incident response protocols, to enhance reliability and maintain SLAs.Coding and Scripting: Develop tools and scripts (preferably in Python) to automate security checks, system updates, and other repetitive tasks.Collaboration: Work closely with development, operations, and security teams to enhance security, compliance, and performance across the organization.Work with one of our customers in a modern, cloud-based infrastructure, with fully automated setup, testing and deployment.As a member of the SRE team you will participate in all stages of the processes, from design to implementation and support, with a focus on the infrastructure. No bullsh*t.Qualifications:Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science (or equivalent work experience)5+ years in SRE or Security Engineering roles, with hands-on experience in IT security and infrastructure reliability.Strong expertise in Microsoft Entra ID and Azure cloud services.Proficient in Python for automation and scripting.Familiarity with Kubernetes and Helm charts for orchestration and container management.Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI, or similar).Security and Compliance: Knowledge of SOC 2 compliance, vulnerability management, and other security frameworks.Additional Skills: Familiarity with logging/monitoring tools (e.g., Datadog, Grafana), network security, IAM (Identity Access Management), and experience working with DevSecOps practices.
