Based in Barcelona, they are currently seeking a DEMAND SPECIALIST / PROJECT COORDINATION – TECHNOLOGY AREA The company seeks a highly skilled Demand Specialist to manage the demand lifecycle within the Technology Department, ensuring effective coordination, stakeholder management, and project definition. The role is critical for optimizing resource allocation and ensuring strategic alignment across the organization’s technology portfolio Working within the Technology Global Demand and Program Management Dpt. the Demand Specialist will oversee demand management processes, from project request definition to the project’s Kick-Off phase. The role involves aligning business requirements with technical solutions while maintaining high levels of communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution to ensure optimal project prioritization and resource allocation.Additionally, the position supports long-term strategic planning by identifying patterns in demand and contributing insights to refine technology roadmaps. Duties and Responsibilities:Demand Management: -Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and technology teams to identify, assess, and prioritize demands. -Analyse requests, validate feasibility, and ensure alignment with organizational strategies. -Document and synthesize business needs into clear, actionable project definitions. -Develop and implement a standardized demand intake process, ensuring consistent evaluation and documentation of all requests.-Create and maintain a demand pipeline dashboard to provide real-time visibility to stakeholders. Project Preparation: -Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables. -Prepare necessary documentation and approvals required before initiating a project. -Conduct preliminary risk assessments and resource estimations. -Assess specific architecture design requirements.-Partner with financial planning teams to estimate project costs and ensure alignment with budgetary constraints.-Incorporate lessons learned from past projects to refine scoping and preparation practices.Stakeholder Engagement: -Facilitate discussions with various stakeholders, ranging from technical teams to executive leadership. -Present and justify decisions clearly and assertively, reassessing requests when acceptance criteria are not met. -Organize regular stakeholder reviews to communicate progress, gather feedback, and ensure alignment.-Actively foster relationships across regions and departments to enhance collaboration and trust. Conflict Resolution and Negotiation: -Proactively address and resolve conflicts between competing demands. -Negotiate priorities and resource allocation with a focus on organizational goals. -Implement conflict resolution frameworks to streamline decision-making and mitigate escalations.Handover to Project Management: -Ensure all required project information and documentation is ready before handing over to the Project Manager.-Create detailed handover packages, including scope definitions, initial timelines, and risk assessments, to facilitate smooth project transitions.-Act as a point of reference during the initial phases of project execution to clarify requirements and resolve ambiguities. Required ProfileEducation-Ideally, bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, Physics or related field. -Additional training in project management or Agile methodologies is required.-Master’s degree is a plus.Experience-Minimum 5 years of experience in demand management, project coordination, or similar roles. -Proven experience in IT environments within multinational companies. -Experience with cross-cultural collaboration and managing demand in geographically dispersed teams is highly desirable.IT Skills-Advanced skills in O365 collaboration suite-Scrum management tools (JIRA, Confluence,…)-Project management tools (PPM, SmartSheet, …) -Data analysis and visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau are a significant advantage. Soft Skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with various levels of an organization. Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills. Ability to prioritize tasks and manage competing deadlines. Problem-solving mindset and adaptability to dynamic environments. Proactivity and Results Orientation:Initiative to identify improvement opportunities and commitment to achieving established objectives.Attention to Detail:Thoroughness in data management and task execution to ensure accuracy and quality.Teamwork:Collaboration and effective participation in achieving common goals.
