As a Site Reliability Engineer at Wasmer, you will be responsible for ensuring that our systems run smoothly and have the capacity for future growth. As we embark on our next groundbreaking offering in Edge computing, we are seeking a talented and experienced Site Reliability Engineer to join our team.What You Will DoDesign, implement, and maintain scalable and reliable infrastructure solutions for our Edge computing platform.Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure efficient deployment, monitoring, and troubleshooting of our applications and services.Develop and implement automation tools and processes to improve system reliability and performance.Develop and manage our metal-servers infrastructure.Establish and enforce best practices for infrastructure management, security, and disaster recovery.Proactively identify and mitigate potential risks and performance bottlenecks.Create and maintain detailed documentation for the systems and processes under your responsibility.Participate in a rotating on-call schedule to ensure 24/7 availability of our platform.What You Need2+ years of experience in site reliability engineering, DevOps, or related roles.Experience with Linux server administration.Proven experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).Strong knowledge of infrastructure automation tools (Terraform, Ansible, Puppet, Chef).Proficiency in at least one programming language (Python, Go, Java, or similar).Familiarity with monitoring and alerting tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, etc.).Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Strong communication and collaboration skills.Bonus PointsExperience with Edge computing platforms and related technologies (Rust or Wasm).Familiarity with Serverless architectures and Lambda functions.Knowledge of networking, security, and distributed systems concepts.Familiarity with CI/CD processes and tools.Experience with Nix / NixOS.Why Join Us?You want to work for a start-up focused on solving real problems with an open-source community-first approach for building a business.If you are an experienced Site Reliability Engineer with a passion for building reliable and innovative systems, we would love to hear from you.
