This is your opportunity!We are looking for a DevOps Engineer to join our team in Málaga!Tasks and ResponsibilitiesAs a DevOps engineer, these tasks include:Lead the migration, setup, operation, and maintenance of services across Kubernetes clusters, transitioning from on-premises to cloud-based container as a service platforms.Setup, operate, and maintain Kubernetes clusters, ensuring their stability and optimal performance.Align platform dependencies to facilitate smooth integration and operation of the DevOps environment.Coordinate with corporate processes to ensure compliance and efficiency in DevOps operations.Handle central issues and provide effective solutions to maintain a robust DevOps infrastructure.Develop and enhance the service, ensuring it meets the evolving needs of the business and its users.Understand Go code in the application and develop the skills on this programming language in accordance to the necessities of the project.Maintain and support the deployed components to ensure ongoing performance and reliability.Provide robust support and troubleshooting, including oneAPI and Gorillas support, within a dynamic, cross-functional team environment.Create and maintain monitoring/logging solutions for timely issue identification and resolution.Participate in an on-call rotation to ensure high availability and responsiveness to critical service issues.Qualifications EducationBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related STEM discipline. Languages: English mandatory German knowledge is desirable Requirements and ExperienceSolid foundation in DevOps practices (3+ years), including setting up and maintaining Kubernetes clusters, Docker containerization and managing container orchestration.Professional certifications will be highly regarded, including but not limited to Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA), Docker Certified Associate (DCA) or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer. Required IT-Skills and experience: Mandatory:In-depth understanding of API lifecycle management and experience with API Gateway solutions, specifically Kong, to facilitate secure and efficient API management.Proficiency in designing, developing, and maintaining RESTful APIs.Extensive experience with Kubernetes, including the current/stable version, and helm charts for efficient cluster management.Strong expertise in Docker containerization and orchestration.Familiarity with HashiCorp Vault and the implementation of the External Secrets Operator to manage sensitive data securely.Solid background in database management, particularly with PostgreSQL, including writing SQL queries, establishing backup policies, and experience with KeyDB as a Redis-compatible in-memory database.Strong experience in Monitoring and Observability tools, with hands-on expertise in OpenSearch, Grafana, Fluentd, Loki and Traefik as well as managing Docker image registries.Knowledge of cloud services, particularly AWS and Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS), is highly desirable.Proficiency in programming with Go or other high-level languages such as Java, C# or Python.Experience in Bash scripting.Desirable skills:Experience with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices, particularly using GitHub or GitHub Enterprise coupled with GitHub Actions for automating workflows and deployment pipelines.Familiarity with NGINX as a web server and reverse proxy, including configuration and optimization for performance and security.Personal competences: A strong will to continuously learn and adapt to new technologies and working models in the rapidly evolving DevOps landscape.Embraces the "You build it, you run it" philosophy, taking full ownership of the software through its entire lifecycle, from development to deployment and operational support.A strong user/customer focus, with a commitment to delivering high-quality solutions that meet or exceed customer expectations and enhance user experience.Proactive commitment to developing and extending upcoming products, ensuring they meet high-quality standards.An Agile mindset to embrace change and agile methodologies for project execution, alongside different team members.Openness to constructive discussions and collaboration with cross-functional teams for improved integration and problem-solving.A profound sense of responsibility in taking charge of critical tasks, aligning platform dependencies, and aligning with corporate processes to maintain the stability and efficiency of platforms.For this project and team, deep infrastructure knowledge is not needed (e.g., Terraform, IaC…)Within our benefits as employee, we provide:Competitive salary + variable compensationFlexible entering hours30 working days of holidaysAnnual training PlanProfessional CertificationsMercedes Benz benefits (Renting plans, employee discount)60% Mobile work
