To further solidify and strengthen this part of ELSCO’s brand promise, the Company is building an organizational culture of teamwork, engagement, learning, and continuous improvement/ innovation.POSITION OVERVIEWReporting to ELSCO’s Sales, Marketing and Engineering Director, the European Sales Manager position is a multi-faceted position will support a variety of critical functions within ELSCO. The European Sales Manager will develop and close sales opportunities providing quotations and building relationships with existing and potential customers. The European Sales Manager is also the primary technical resource for the customer-facing aspects of the business. This position will include participation in related industry associations and committees. Additionally, the European Sales Manager will be responsible for educating and training others, internally and externally, on the specifics of our products. The European Sales Manager is the company’s key technical advisor and product advocate in Europe, able to identify and provide reliable solutions to technical issues in support of our products and/or field applications.Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Sales/Marketing/Business DevelopmentDevelop strong relationships with customer base in assigned territory promoting our products and services to create sales opportunities.Develops sales opportunities by researching and identifying potential accounts, soliciting new accounts, building rapport, providing technical information and explanations, and preparing quotations.Assist customer service team providing technical support regarding applications and product selection.Provide operational and routine maintenance training to customers.Provide customer training, product demonstrations and other technical support to sales efforts.Collect, process, and share voice of customer relating to market intelligence and identification of customer needs.Technical Service and SupportAddress technical inquiries from customers, customer service, and sales.Maintain a friendly, yet professional rapport with customer base.Provide troubleshooting support and identify root causes where possible.Document feedback from customers and recommended solutions to field issues.Log appropriately all customer feedback that constitutes a quality issue or complaint via our ticketing process.Use analytical skills to interpret customer data and make informed recommendations.Assist with creation of supporting technical documentation and training material to support product applications and services as well as new product launches.Assist with coordinating field trials/validation of new products in development as needed.Industry OrganizationsDevelop a network of industry experts and participate in conferences, and outings.Represent the company and present materials to industry organizations at conferences when possible.Attend tradeshows as scheduled. Represent ELSCO to customers as an exhibitor, creating and closing sales opportunities, collecting sales leads, and furthering customer relationships.This position may perform other duties as assigned.JOB QUALIFICIATIONS & REQUIREMENTSMinimum Background and Skills Required:University Degree preferably Business or related field.Minimum of 5 years of successful technical experience in the elevator industry or related industries.Over 5 years of experience in a sale or supporting sales function.Must be business fluent in Spanish and English.Experience developing and implementing sales strategies.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Proficient in MS Office, ERP databases, and other computer systems, as needed.Ability to work effectively in high-pressure environments and interact with customers who expect a high caliber of service.Strong sense of self-motivation with a goal-oriented approach to work.Proven record of building strong relationships with customers.Strong ability to combine technical knowledge of ELSCO products with strong interpersonal skills.Valid passport and ability to travel globally as needed is required up to 30-50% of the time primarily within continental Europe, some overseas.Additional Background and Skills Preferred:A desire to continually expand base of technical and trouble-shooting knowledge.Strong project-management skills.Additional European languages (i.e, Deutsch, French, Italian, Polish).PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONSTravels 30-50% of the time.Some sedentary work.Walking is required while at events such as trade shows, and during customer visits, and during outings.Speaks up to 80% of the time with customers, vendors and team members.Listens and interprets customer needs.Listens to team members and works cross functionally with other members of the management. team on a regular basis.Visually inspects quotes, contracts and marketing materials.Uses repetitive wrist motion when typing and entering quotes.COMPENSATION & BENEFITSWe offer an attractive compensation package in addition to a comprehensive benefits program.CONTACT USIf you are a driven, results-oriented individual seeking an opportunity to play a key role in the continuing growth of a reputable organization, please forward your resume, in WORD or PDF format, along with your salary history/requirements, to us for immediate consideration.ELEVATOR SAFETY COMPANY (ELSCO)A Division of Hamilton Associates, Inc.11445 Cronridge Dr. Suite GOwings Mills, Maryland 21117This position is located in Spain, and does not provide a relocation package.
