FINANCE CONTROLLER (INNOVATIVE MEDICINE)

Finance Controller (Innovative Medicine) Job Description Overall Purpose of Job The Finance Controller is a key business partner to Country Director of Thailand and Vietnam, and their Business Unit Leaders, providing financial leadership to the growth and profitability initiatives of the markets.
In addition, this role assures compliant practices and process efficiency in the market.
The position works closely with Commercial Team, Selling & Marketing and Supply Chain.
Apart from close relationships with commercial colleagues, he/she will also be required to have strong relationship within BU Finance, GS/CFM, SC Finance as well as SEA Regional Finance.
This role is expected to have high engagement in cross functional projects.
This position will be leading team of three with two direct report – Thailand Finance Manager and Vietnam Finance Manager through the supervision, coaching, and stimulating DE&I culture in Thailand and Vietnam Finance organization in order to deliver the excellent finance partnership services to business Essential duties and responsibilities.
Business and Financial Partnership.
Deliver the business financial performance by playing a critical role in shaping and monitoring the business performance towards financial commitments.
Explore and drive for profitability improvement initiatives e.

pricing and profitability, cost effectiveness.
Drive the resource allocation for the market to help business and market to capitalize the investment for future.
Lead the financial projects and/or be a Finance custodian for business initiatives driven from Global / Regional or local market’s to orchestrate and ensure the successful project deployment in accordance with SOX requirement for Thailand and Vietnam.
Strategic / Business Planning & Financial forecasting and reporting.
Partner with Commercial colleagues for annual business planning and scenario business planning.
Perform financial forecasting exercise in providing accurate financial forecast with risks and opportunities are clearly identified.
Ensure timely and accurately reporting to Global / Regional planning systems.
Improve current planning processes in driving better accuracy, efficiency & simplicity Finance Reporting.
Provide a proactive perspective to CFM/GS of any business projects and any area of improvements for market.
Regularly exchange constructive feedback with CFM/GS for opportunities in driving more efficiency of Finance supports as well as explore the opportunities in reducing complexity.
Support Regional/Global initiatives in driving more effectiveness and efficiency of Finance function.
Compliance Ensure Business Compliance, Governance and Control is adhered for Thailand and Vietnam.
Timely partnering with Business to remediate any anticipated control concern.
People Manager Lead the higher performing BUF team with DE&I.
Qualifications Job Requirement Essential knowledge and skills.
Bachelor of Finance with minimum 5 years of experience in business partnering Finance roles.
MBA / Professional certification (e.
.
ACCA/CA/CPA/CMA) will be a plus.
Strong communication, presentation, and inter-personal skills.
