Solutions Driven is hiring for this role on behalf of one of our clients.Are you passionate about FPGA design and ready to innovate on challenging aerospace electronics? Join our client's dynamic team in designing and developing mission-critical avionics technology for modern aircraft and satellite systems. This role is ideal for those who thrive in a collaborative environment and have a strong background in FPGA development and computer architecture.Our team is at the forefront of aerospace technology, specializing in creating safety-certified computer systems for both airborne (pilot assistance, flight management, video distribution) and ground applications (satellite navigation systems). As part of an international team of avionics experts, you’ll have the chance to work on cutting-edge projects that push the boundaries of what's possible in aerospace.Position SummaryAs an FPGA Design Engineer, you’ll be integral to our hardware design team, creating safety-oriented FPGA designs and IP cores for avionics computers. Key responsibilities include:Develop FPGA IP, from RTL design to synthesis, and conduct place & route with static timing analysis.Lead FPGA bring-up tests, simulations, and physical tests.Draft FPGA technical specifications and ensure scalable, reusable IP core development for avionics protocols and video processing.Work closely with PCB engineers, software developers, and system architects to deliver efficient, customer-focused solutions.Skills and ExperienceBachelor's or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.Minimum 5+ years in FPGA or digital ASIC development, with a strong command of VHDL (SystemVerilog knowledge a plus).Expertise with Xilinx and MicroSemi FPGA platforms, bring-up tests, and root cause analysis.Experience with safety standards such as DO-254 is advantageous.Familiarity with scripting languages (TCL, Python, Lua) and advanced verification methodologies (UVM) is a plus.Amenable for 10% travel to client or international sites.Why Join Us?This is an opportunity to work on highly complex projects, foster technical growth, and enjoy flexible working conditions.
