FULL STACK DEVELOPER FOR COMPUTATIONAL CHEMISTRY PLATFORM

Nextmol is a spin-off company of the Barcelona Supercomputing Center. It develops a Software-as-a-Service platform that provides molecular modeling and artificial intelligence tools to accelerate the design of better and greener chemicals. We are looking for a full stack developer with experience in web technologies to help us to bring the platform to the next level.RequirementsMinimum 5 years of demonstrable web platform development experience.Experience with Python. Strong knowledge of FastAPI framework and security libraries such as OAuthLib or PyJWT.Experience with JS (ES6), Typescript, HTML 5, and CSS languages, especially with React, Tailwind and Bootstrap frameworks / libraries. Meteor framework is a plus.Experience in relational and non-relational database design, optimization, and querying techniques.Experience designing and implementing secure RESTful API services and clients, as well as knowledge of security best practices in backend development.Familiarity with asynchronous communication using Kafka and/or SQS.Experience in good QA practices and test-first approach (TDD/BDD), using testing tools such as Jest, Pytest and Cucumber for unit test, integration test and e2e test.Good understanding of software development best practices: clean code, KISS and SOLID principles, security by design.Experience with Linux operating system, Git and Git Flow.Experience with Jira for issue tracking, and Scrum/Kanban Agile methodologies.Experience in teamwork collaborating within cross-functional teams. Can-do attitude and entrepreneurial mindset with excellent communication skills.Nice to have experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD automation.Nice to have Experience with AWS services relevant to backend development, such as EC2, Lambda, S3, SQS and/or MSK.Nice to have experience with HPC technologies such as Slurm, AWS ParallelCluster or AWS Batch.Nice to have a valuable track record of successful execution of technical projects from inception to implementation.What you will do in NextmolParticipate in challenging projects in the field of computational chemistry, where your work will have a direct impact on the design and development of new molecules and materials, by:Contributing to plan and design the computational chemistry platform.Making technical decisions to advance the development of the platform.Coding using best practices.Who we are and what we wantA horizontal team where everyone can contribute and learn.Multidisciplinary profiles being able to carry out tasks autonomously.Developers who always want to improve their skills.ConditionsPreferably hybrid job based in Barcelona or Valencia.Competitive salary, taking into account the qualifications of the candidate.Permanent contract.We are a small but very motivated team.
