Job Description As the global head of the Food Segment in Business Assurance, you will be responsible for defining strategy, driving growth, and ensuring operational excellence in our food certification/services solutions business, ensuring SGS maintains and strengthens its position as global market leaders.
The role includes oversight of our Pharma Cosmetics and personal care business, which is a small but strategic segment.
You will oversee a multidisciplinary team, foster relationships with key stakeholders, and uphold our reputation for integrity and quality within the TIC industry.
Specific Responsibilities Develop and execute a comprehensive business strategy primarily for the food assurance segment, aligned with the organization’s overall goals.
Identify and capitalize on market trends, emerging risks, and opportunities within the food sector, including new service lines.
Collaborate with global and regional leadership to ensure consistency in service delivery and innovation.
Oversee all operational aspects of food certification services, ensuring compliance with industry standards, accreditation requirements, and internal quality processes.
Lead process optimization to enhance efficiency, scalability, and customer satisfaction.
Act as a key representative to clients, regulatory bodies, and industry associations, strengthening trust and fostering strategic partnerships.
Build, manage, and inspire a high-performing team, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous learning.
Drive the development of pricing strategies that reflect market conditions and maximize profitability.

Qualifications Proven leadership experience in the food certification, TIC, or related industries.
Familiarity with food safety, quality, and regulatory standards (e.
., ISO , HACCP, BRCGS, FSSC ).
Demonstrated success in driving business growth and leading cross-functional teams.
Exceptional stakeholder management and negotiation skills.
Required Skills Advanced degree in Food Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
Familiarity with emerging topics and technologies in food safety and traceability.
Multilingual abilities and international experience are an advantage.
