As Global Head Securities Finance you will have the opportunity to develop and execute a comprehensive, inclusive strategic growth plan for this business line consistent with the bank’s overall strategy.
You will have full P&L responsibility and lead a global trading team that working closely with other stakeholders will have a mandate to grow our market share and revenue contribution from our Securities Finance activities.
About the job.
Main responsibilities Deliver the strategic direction and decision making of the business line by assessing market trends, client needs, competitor actions and internal end to end capabilities.
Lead and develop a global team by setting individual objectives, managing performance, and providing them with the guidance, training and support needed to succeed in their roles.
Full P&L responsibility of the business line.
You are expected to drive revenue, manage financial resources, and ultimately, to enhance profitability.
Build and maintain strong client relationships.
Understand their needs and objectives to deliver tailored financing strategies, market commentary and trading recommendations.
Monitor and manage risks associated with trading activities, ensuring adherence to risk management guidelines and compliance regulations.
Work closely with internal stakeholders such as sales teams, operations, finance, risk and technology to ensure alignment with the business vision and goals across the end to end value chain.
Requirements Degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
Industry certifications such as the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation are a plus.
Minimum of 10 years’ experience in a trading role, with a focus on securities trading, repos, total return swaps, securities lending and other funding instruments in multiple regional markets.
Experience in leadership roles, particularly in managing teams and driving business units within a global financial institution.

Confident communicator with the ability to quickly build relationships with external clients, counterparties, and internal stakeholders to drive transformation and achieve desired business outcomes.
Good level of understanding of key regulatory concepts such as Liquid Coverage Ratio (LCR), Net Stable Funding Ratio (NSFR); Working understanding of the legal documentation required for Securities Lending and Repo Familiarity with Technology and Operations to be able to drive an end to end transformation.
