HEAD OF TECHNOLOGY

As the Head of Technology at Q For Media, you will oversee the implementation of technical tools and the development of custom software solutions. You will lead a team of 1–2 software engineers and collaborate closely with C-level executives to shape the product and long-term vision. In this role, you will have a hands-on approach to coding while guiding a small, highly talented, and efficient team. Additionally, you will provide strategic input on key technological decisions to create the tech department and support the company's growth by advising executives and co-founders.About the CompanyQ For Media is a media company that owns two very large and successful YouTube Channels: Quantum Tech HD and Quantastic, having a combined audience of more than 19 Million subscribers and 150 Million views per month.Quantum Tech HD is a leading YouTube channel displaying some of the most viral documentaries, constructions, Do-It-Yourself projects, and cutting-edge technology.Quantastic is much more than a YouTube channel. With over 4 million subscribers, it’s a passionate community of art-lovers and a home for creativity.About the JobAs we’ve grown, it has become clear that we need internal tools to make our processes for finding and producing content more efficient. This role will focus on developing these internal tools while using your critical expertise to decide when to rely on existing external software versus building custom solutions.We have relationships with over 10,000 creators, and you’ll be responsible for building automations (using services like n8n.io), integrating software platforms (such as Supabase, Metabase, CRM, Email), and building custom browser extensions, cross-platform desktop apps (with Electron), or scripts.We are coding language-agnostic and encourage leveraging AI tools to enhance speed and code quality. We take technical debt seriously. Writing maintainable, elegant, and tested code is a non-negotiable standard.
