Your new role As our new Head of Wind Development – Mediterranean, you will manage and grow a team of experts, secure and deliver projects applying a seller-doer mentality and bring your strategic thoughts and ideas into the global management team to support Ramboll’s overall Wind energy strategy.
Your key responsibilities As part of a multidisciplinary project team, you will take on diverse tasks and responsibilities of varied complexity and scale, such as.
Day-to-day and strategic line management for the teams located in Spain and Portugal, incl.
their professional development, in coordination with the respective Team Leads (direct reports to the Head position).
Set up the growth and hiring strategy for the Wind Development team located in our offices in Spain and Portugal in alignment with Ramboll’s Global Wind strategy.
Support to the service lines Development, Engineering and Analysis and Due Diligence and to the global Business Intelligence and Sales team with the teams in Spain and Portugal as part of Ramboll’s Global Wind growth strategy.
Accountable for the P&L of the department, including budgeting and forecasting in coordination with the Wind management team and Finance.
Lead the preparation of proposals and act as Project Manager for offshore and onshore wind, complex, multi-service technical and commercial advisory assignments.
Project work could also involve leading specific delivery packages or providing expert support based on your specific technical background and competencies.
Act as ambassador of Ramboll’s Global and Wind specific policies, procedures, and processes within the team.
Depending on the profile you will support, or drive business development related to opportunities in countries within the Mediterranean region, as well as clients / Key Accounts located in this region, in coordination with the Regional Director for the European Market.
Ramboll’s face and thought leader to the market in Mediterranean region.
Jointly develop the Mediterranean wind and energy market together with other Ramboll units, as part of the Wind Sector approach, to provide a holistic service offer for our clients.
Your new team As our new Head of Wind Development – Mediterranean, reporting to the Head of Wind Development – Europe, you will be part of our global management team within our Wind Energy Group.
You will join and lead an existing team in Spain and Portugal, who provides exceptional support to our projects globally and that also has a large impact on the development of Wind projects in the Mediterranean market – including a unique focus on floating wind.
The team has a good mix of seniority, technical background, and diversity, with 40 employees to date working in various Service Lines of our Wind Division, with a prime focus on Wind Development, and located in our offices in Spain and Portugal, with the main location being Madrid.

For this role, we believe your starting point is.
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline; a master’s degree or other advanced degree is preferred.
Preferably a minimum of 10 years of relevant professional experience.
Extensive experience in offshore and onshore wind project development, execution, or operation within a project developer organization or consultancy.
Profound industry knowledge and a thorough understanding of design and engineering, project economics, interfaces, risks, and commercial aspects of wind farm development.
Proven ability to manage teams and oversee multidisciplinary projects.
Established industry reputation and professional network.
High proficiency in written and spoken Spanish and English, with additional languages (Portuguese preferred) being an advantage.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented, and purpose-driven environment.
Skilled at prioritizing multiple tasks and making decisions that advance company goals and objectives.
Strong writing, communication, and presentation skills with an analytical and persuasive approach.
Comfortable and proficient in delivering presentations and leading workshops.
