HEALTH & SAFETY SPECIALIST

Overview :The Health and Safety Specialist will form part of our Operations team. They will primarily be responsible, within the company, for promoting and maintaining Health and Safety measures in the workplace, ensuring their implementation and compliance with legal regulations.Position responsibilities: Design and implement health and safety processes, procedures and preventative measures that help to control and reduce risks in the workplace.Be responsible for carrying out risk assessments, inspecting and evaluating workplace environment, including workstations, installations, equipment and practices to identify any hazards.Investigate accidents, incidents and workplace illnesses to identify their causes and to determine how they might be prevented in the future.Support internal and external audits and inspections that could take place in the workplace.Support in the Health and Safety Implementation in international locations to ensure compliance with local regulations.Design new or improve on existing safety advice, emergency and evacuation procedures, etc.Participate in health and safety committees and maintain relationships with insurance companies (La Mutua).Keep up to date with the health and safety laws, revising and adapting procedures and processes when necessary and promoting these amongst employees.Complete all other tasks that are deemed appropriate for the role and assigned by the manager / supervisorEssential skills and experience required: Superior written and spoken communication skills in English and SpanishMasters degree in Prevention of Risks in the Workplace (PRL) with the three specializations (safety in the workplace, industrial hygiene & ergonomics and applied psycho-sociology).At least two years’ professional experience in a similar position.Knowledge of Spanish Health and Safety regulations.Knowledge of ISO standardsStrong analytical skills.Impeccable organizational skills, ability to prioritize and high dependability.Desired skills and experience:Experience implementing Health & Safety measures in international locationsTransPerfect provides equal employment opportunities to all individuals regardless of their race, color, creed, religion, gender, age, sexual orientation, national origin, disability, veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by local law.We celebrate diversity as one of our core values and we have a clear goal: to be an inclusive workplace where a diverse mix of talented people want to come, stay and do their best work.
