Currently, Elawan has 2.1 GW in operations and boasts an impressive portfolio of 8 GW in projects, with 2.5 GW in an advanced development phase and another 5.5 GW in an earlier stage.Based in the HQs in Madrid, the Civil Engineer will be responsible for the operational and technical management of a portfolio of hydropower plants located throughout Spain, ensuring their proper maintenance and optimization for maximum performance. The role involves close collaboration with the operations, maintenance, and control teams, overseeing the efficiency of hydraulic assets and ensuring compliance with safety standards, environmental regulations, and technical requirements.Responsibilities:Supervise and coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance of hydropower facilities within the assigned portfolio.Monitor and evaluate the performance of hydropower plants, identifying opportunities for improvement in efficiency and cost-effectiveness.Ensure compliance with local regulations, safety standards, and environmental laws applicable to the hydropower facilities.Prepare and manage operational and maintenance budgets, ensuring efficient resource allocation.Coordinate with local maintenance and operations teams, as well as subcontractors, to ensure proper execution of on-site tasks.Analyze operational data and generate performance and maintenance reports, presenting results to management.Collaborate in the planning of new investments or improvements to hydropower facilities, ensuring that upgrades are carried out efficiently and cost-effectively.Conduct occasional site visits across Spain to supervise fieldwork and perform technical audits.Stay up to date on technological innovations in the hydropower sector and propose their implementation when feasible.Requirements:Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.3 to 5 years of experience in the maintenance of hydraulic infrastructure (dams, canals, irrigation systems, etc.).Strong knowledge of maintenance regulations for hydropower facilities and asset management.Availability to travel occasionally to sites across Spain.Analytical skills with the ability to interpret technical and operational data.Ability to manage multidisciplinary teams and coordinate with external contractors.Proficiency in maintenance management software and advanced use of office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).Strong communication skills with the ability to produce clear technical reports and presentations.Based in MadridWe Offer:Opportunity to work for a leading company in the renewable energy sector, contributing to sustainable development.Job stability with opportunities for professional growth within the company.Competitive salary based on experience and qualifications.Flexibility to work from Madrid, with occasional travel to various sites across Spain.By selecting "Apply" above, you indicate that you have read and agree to Elawan Energy's Privacy Notice: https://www.elawan.com/gestion-de-la-privacidad/enTo get to know more about Elawan and its projects please visit our website - www.elawan.com/*** WE ARE NOT USING THIRD PARTIES IN ORDER TO COVER THIS POSITION ***
