INTERNSHIP IN VENDOR & PROJECT MANAGEMENT

Summary:As an intern in Interpretation Services, you will be an essential part of our Production Team, dealing with different tasks related to the both Vendor Management (recruitment and onboarding of our freelance vendors) and Project Management for Language Assessments and Interpretation projects happening virtually and onsite all around the world. This is an opportunity to gain hands-on experience with the industry´s largest Language Service Provider, to work in a multicultural and fast-paced environment and to build and maintain strong professional relationships with both members of our freelance community and internal teams.Position responsibilities: Assist with various tasks Vendor Management tasks within the full cycle of recruitment and onboarding of linguists from posting job offers to sourcing, interviewing, testing, offers, negotiations and placementsSupport the on-boarding process (setting up the Vendor in our system, compilation of documents, assistance with contracts, instructions for the new linguist), ensuring that all on-boarding tasks are handled on timeEnsuring the Vendor database is kept up to date with all relevant Vendor information and building strong relationships with all VendorsProvide general administrative / Vendor Management-related support Provide support on different phases of interpretation projects (initiating project workflow, clarifying project instructions when required with Client Services team members, negotiating rates and deadlines with linguists, issuing Purchase Orders and assisting with the billing process, etc.)Comply with internal regulations, processes and procedures in line with ISO standardsEnsure deadlines are met with the Vendors according to projects and troubleshoot/escalate any problems or potential delays when necessaryPerform any other tasks that are deemed appropriate for the role and assigned by the manager/supervisor Essential skills and experience required: Excellent written and verbal English communication skills, other languages would be an assetExcellent attention to detail with strong problem solving and analytical skillsHighly organized and able to multitask in a fast-paced environmentIndependence in carrying out assigned tasks Effective organization, multitasking and time management skills with the ability to adapt to changing priorities and thrive in a fast-paced environmentHighly-developed Microsoft Office skillsExperience in a customer-service type role is highly desirableBe enrolled in an educational institution who are able to provide an internship agreement to cover the 6-month internship durationTransPerfect provides equal employment opportunities to all individuals regardless of their race, color, creed, religion, gender, age, sexual orientation, national origin, disability, veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by state, federal, or local law.We celebrate diversity and have a clear vision: to be an inclusive workplace where a diverse mix of talented people want to come, stay and do their best work.
