IT PROJECT MANAGER

OverviewAs an IT Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading and managing IT projects from initiation to closure, ensuring the successful delivery of technology solutions within scope, budget, and schedule. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to define project objectives, develop project plans, and execute project activities to achieve business goals. This role requires strong project management skills, technical expertise, and the ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders.Job DescriptionLead the planning, execution, and closure of IT projects, adhering to project management methodologies and best practices.Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and success criteria in collaboration with stakeholders and project sponsors.Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and resource allocation plans to guide project execution and monitor progress.Coordinate project activities, tasks, and dependencies across cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment with project goals and priorities.Manage project budgets, track expenses, and report on financial performance to stakeholders, identifying variances and implementing corrective actions as needed.Identify project risks, issues, and dependencies, and develop mitigation strategies to minimize their impact on project outcomes.Communicate project status, updates, and milestones to stakeholders through regular meetings, reports, and presentations.Foster collaboration and teamwork among project team members, providing leadership, guidance, and support to ensure project success.Conduct post-project reviews and lessons learned sessions to capture insights, identify areas for improvement, and drive continuous process improvement.ExperienceProven experience in IT PMO, project management, or related roles.Proficiency in portfolio management tools and software, such as Microsoft Project, Jira, or similar platforms.Worked in a fast-paced Retail environmentExperience working with global teamsProven experience using MS Excel and other tools to structure analysis and MS PowerPoint and others to present complex findingsRequired SkillsStrong analytical skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions.Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly and concisely to stakeholders at all levelsStrong organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.In-depth knowledge of project management methodologies (e.g., PMBOK, PRINCE2, Agile)Proficiency in project management tools and software, such as Microsoft Project, Jira, or similar platforms.Certification in project management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) or portfolio management (e.g., PfMP) is highly desirable.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to anticipate issues and evaluate alternatives.Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships, influence stakeholders, and motivate project teams.Highly computer literateExcellent verbal, written and presentation skillsAble to work both individually and as part of a teamAble to prioritise, organise and deliver a complex and changing workload under pressure, without constant supervision and to tight deadlinesAbility to guide and influence the development of junior colleagues through best practice in the disciplineExperience of change management practicesDesirable SkillsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, Project Management or related field.
