They will advise the Senior Leadership Team on all technology decisions and developing, testing, and implementing IT solutions. They will know and apply the technology, methodology, products and/or tools needed to ensure that the IT structure of the Institute remains current and adaptive to the wider needs of the company.Essential Criteria- Technical or university degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.- Excellent level of English, spoken and written.- Good level of Spanish and/or Catalan.  - Experience of at least 3 years in a similar IT role.- Knowledge in Windows and MacOS operating systems.- Experience in Microsoft environment management and configuration.- Experience in network management and configuration.- Experience of user training.- Ability to diagnose and resolve technical problems efficiently.- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.- Commitment to maintaining user confidentiality and adhering to all relevant policies.- Flexibility to work across sites.- Eligibility to work in Spain.Desirable Criteria- Experience of working in higher education or education environment.- Experience of deploying the Microsoft suite of applications in a workplace.- Relevant technological certifications.Qualification/knowledge·      Evidence of relevant experience.Key Responsibilities1.     Provide front-line support to users, resolving common technical problems and ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.2.     Manage the maintenance, repair and upgrading of all operating systems (Windows and OS X), including hardware and software.3.     Maintain the network and computer systems, and monitor their performance, in conjunction with the external IT providers (as required).4.     Manage the Institute’s Microsoft’s account, including all user accounts, and ensure the effective use of the Microsoft suite of applications.5.     Provide IT training for staff and users, as required.6.     Work with the Institute's administrative team to ensure the effective operation of the overall administration systems. 7.     Contribute to action plans and protocols for incident management, and to the development and maintenance of IT policies and procedures.8.     Analyse and explore new technological solutions on the market, as well as execute an appropriate implementation plan. 9.     Maintain the inventory of computer equipment, software, and platform subscriptions. 10.   Maintain detailed documentation of incidents, solutions and support procedures. 11.   Optimise and audit current system processes.12.   In conjunction with the Institute’s Data Protection Company, ensure data security is adhering with current regulations.13.   Support the IT requirements of special events such as auditions, staff meetings and other Institutional events.Engagement·      Use effective communication skills, both oral and written, and deal effectively, efficiently and tactfully with staff and students across the organization.Leadership and Service·      Establish a productive and supportive relationship with colleagues within the team and across the wider Institute.·      Be an effective team member and participate in relevant meetings, workshops, training events, etc.
