JAVA BACK END ENGINEER

Location: Spain (Applicants based outside of Spain will not be considered)Job Overview:We are seeking an experienced Java Back End Developer with at least 7 years of professional experience working with Java, Kafka, Spring Boot, and Microservices. You will play a key role in our project to migrate from our current payment provider, OPP, to a new provider. This transition involves updating our architecture to be more flexible and generic, integrating the new payment provider, and building an in-house customer support tool for dispute handling.Key Responsibilities:Architecture Migration: Lead the effort to update the system architecture to make it more generic and adaptable to the new payment provider, ensuring scalability and flexibility.Payment Provider Integration: Oversee the integration of the new payment provider's APIs into the system, ensuring a smooth transition and continued system stability.Customer Support Tool Development: Develop a custom customer support tool for handling disputes, as the new payment provider does not provide this service. This tool will allow us to manage support operations internally.Microservices Development: Design, develop, and maintain Java-based microservices using Spring Boot, ensuring scalability and robust service delivery.Collaborative Problem-Solving: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including front-end developers, DevOps, and project managers, to ensure alignment and timely delivery of the project.Required Skills and Experience:7+ years of professional experience in Java backend development.Strong expertise in Spring Boot, Kafka, and Microservices.Proven experience in API development and integration.Experience with architecture migration and building scalable systems.Familiarity with cloud technologies (AWS, GCP) and DevOps tools (Docker, Jenkins).Ability to design and implement customer-facing tools or similar applications.Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with a proactive and collaborative approach to work.Important Requirement:This position is only open to candidates currently residing in Spain. Applicants based outside Spain will not be considered for this role.
