This solution has to be integrated to our APIs. After introducing the “normal” POS solution we want to evolve it and create flexible checkout options for our customers.Goals and vision of the department The software POS Integration Layer (POSIL) integrates the standard POS system to our APIs (inbound and outbound). Currently it is built by an external company hired by the POS provider.In the first step we want to gain control about the overall solution architecture and the quality of developed code. The second step is to built a team to takeover the the development from the external partner. The third step is to take over our second integration layer in the department (technology is GraphQL) and evolve and run it with the team.As the POSIL is the integration layer to all our APIs there are interfaces to nearly any department. The candidate should be able to deal with the provided APIs, discuss architecture and enhancements with the stakeholders and align the solution integration.Your Profile:You have several years of work experience as a Backend Engineer and have built and operated an application in production in the past, preferably in the area of e-commerce.Create, question and enhance the overall solution architecture of our POS system.Clean code, best practices. Quality, reliability, scalability and performance.Should be very good in: Java, Spring Boot, PostgreSQL, SwaggerValuable: React, NodeJS or GraphQLThe backends you build follow the principles of IOC, are modular and expose GraphQL interfaces which our apps love to consumeYou have practical experiences with NoSQL data bases like MongoDBYou are familiar with the whole application life cycle and therefore are comfortable with building, deploying and operating your application as micro services in a cloud infrastructureYou are familiar with the OAuth 2 Standard and naturally use it in your projectsYou have a strong team spirit, are used to work in an agile team and have no problem with freedom and responsibility
