JUNIOR IT SUPPORT ENGINEER

As such, teamwork, creativity, reliability and integrity are components of a work ethic taken very seriously since the company was founded in 1959.Tradition is currently seeking to appoint a Junior IT Support Engineer to be based within the Madrid office.Main responsibilities within the Junior IT Support Engineer position include:Answer and co-ordinate incoming calls, emails, internal and external to the helpdesk and IT department in a polite and professional manner, ensuring they are dealt with or forwarded on accordingly.Raise and manage tickets in the Helpdesk system.Provide support to resolve laptop/desktop hardware and software problems.Provide support for voice system related problems (Currently Open trade dealer board and Cisco Call Manager).Provide initial support for application / software issues (Citrix, Reuters, Bloomberg etc).Liaise with and escalate to 2nd/3rd line support teams in IT when required.Assist with local resolution of any network problems (in conjunction with Network team).Setup of new users in Active Directory / Azure.Manage leavers and staff changes as per company policies.Install, setup and relocate PCs, monitors, dealer boards as required.Manage the comms room equipment and racks ensuring that cabling is always neat and all changes documented correctly.Support and manage IT equipment in meeting rooms (Zoom etc).Handle local IT orders, inventory, invoices and maintaining an up-to-date list of all systems and users.Work with Facilities team to assist in office & desk relocation / office refurbishments and any office related assistance that is required.Any other duties that may reasonably be requested including travel to other European sites.Key skills, experience and competencies required to be successful in this role:Good knowledge of Microsoft products e.g. Windows 10 & 11, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft Configuration Manager.Good knowledge of Reuters & Bloomberg would be desirable.Good knowledge of basic networking and any related matters.Good knowledge of PC hardware support.Knowledge of user management in Active Directory and Azure.Knowledge of Dealer board systems would be advantageous.Experience of structured cabling and patching.Understanding of change control.Tradition do not accept agency CV’s.
