LAB TECHNICIAN QC

In addition, we research, develop, and manufacture customized assays and biomaterials through our OEM business line.As an integral part of Werfen, a global healthcare company dedicated to delivering the highest quality in vitro diagnostics products.In Werfen, we are, looking for temporary position a Quality Control Laboratory Technician who, under direction of the immediate supervisor, he/she participates in the execution of quality control processes following quality, procedures, lead time, safety, and environmental rules. He/She performs a variety of routine and specialized tasks, prepares materials, reagents, and equipment, runs specialized laboratory tests and procedures and spread sheets for which he/she has been adequately trained, and compiles data. He/She performs routine equipment and laboratory maintenance.QC lab Technician, his/her main tasks are:• Conducts Quality control processes and laboratory tests according to approved instructions.• Operates a variety of laboratory equipment• Compiles Quality Control data, performs the required calculations and complete the corresponding quality control testing records.• Maintains a clean, sanitary and well resourced work area in accordance with approved practices and the regulations in place.• Follow strict laboratory, quality, safety and environmental procedures according to regulations in place.• Under the supervision of his manager and with the support -if needed- of other colleagues, can collaborate in the transfer, validation and/or set up of new processes and systems.• Perform supporting activities like stabilities, survey, samples preparation, reference materials, inventory, purchase orders, between others, to assure the correct Quality control laboratory performance.• Participates in activities related to continuous improvement, 5S and Lean Six-Sigma.• Ensures compliance of Werfen Code of Ethics.Knowledge & Experience:· Required: Ciclo Formativo de Grado Medio in Science or Health-related field, completed with experience in chemical, biological, or health-related laboratory.· Valuable: Any additional degree higher than that required in the previous section.· The technician may be required in topics like: microbiology, Physical -Chemical analysis, lab automation, clinical analyzers, packaging revision.· User level Knowledge of basic software tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
