Lugar Barcelona, Campus Clinic-CEK WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR ISGlobal is looking for a junior predoctoral researcher to work on various studies of immune responses to malaria, COVID-19 and NTDs, after infection or vaccination.
Activities aim to investigate functional antibody mechanisms of vaccine-induced protection against infectious diseases, and identify correlates of vaccine-induced protection.
The studies are carried out in collaboration with multiple international research centers (Africa, Europe, USA, Australia).

the objective of this project is to establish an effective pipeline for helminth vaccine development focusing on schistosomes and hookworms, to support control and elimination of some of the world’s most devastating and persistent Neglected Tropical Diseases (NTDs).
KEY RESPONSABILITIES The purpose of the position is to perform functional antibody profiling studies in the context of infectious diseases and vaccines.
The position includes laboratory analysis of samples using multiplex technologies.
The position will require experience in functional antibody assays including Luminex, as well as some basic statistics and data management.
The position is based at ISGlobal in Barcelona.

TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS Masters in biomedical sciences ideally advanced immunology Experience in Luminex antibody assays Basic experience/knowledge in processing, managing, visualization, presentation and analysis of complex multidimensional data  Experience with database management and programming software statistical analysis.

Basic experience in analysis of immunological, vaccinology and infectious diseases data.

A Psychological Competency Evaluation Test will be required for the structural or transversal positions.
