What we’re looking for We are looking for a candidate in the area of Materials Science/Engineering/Rapid prototyping with a PhD in engineering, mainly in the following fields but not limited to.
materials science, chemical engineering, biomedical engineering, industrial and mechanical engineering, who will be required to teach the following areas of knowledge.
biomedical systems prototyping, graphic expression techniques, materials engineering, advanced materials, forming technology.
As R2-R3 you will have the backing of the support program for the stabilization of postdoctoral research personnel of the Department of Research of the Universities of the Generalitat de Catalunya (ESTAB).
Key responsibilities - To provide high quality bachelor’s degree-level teaching in your specialist subjects.
- To lead the management and/or coordination of programmes and perform any other academic tasks assigned to you by the Department.

The UIC Barcelona selection process involves.
- An independent board of experts that assesses all applications and decides who will move on to the next stage.
All members of this board are from outside UIC Barcelona.
- A public oral defence by finalist applicants.
a presentation about their career (both academic and teaching) and their research projects.
Following the presentation, the examination panel will ask a series of questions to conclude the defence.
The defence should last a total of 60 minutes.

- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to get involved in one of the Faculty’s lines of research.
- Ability to supervise and guide both undergraduate and graduate students in their research projects.
