FANTASTIC LEGAL COUNSEL INHOUSE OPPORTUNITY WITH A GLOBAL BUSINESS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE SPANISH REGION (HYBRID)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a commercial lawyer (ideally with strong competition law knowledge) to join a renowned, international service provider based in Barcelona.The legal team are hugely collaborative in their approach and are very much seen as central to the commercial success of the wider business. Working alongside their central and international legal team, the role will suit a proactive, solutions focused and detail orientated generalist lawyer to join their team on a permanent basis.Reporting into the Group Senior Legal Counsel responsibilities will include:Advising on competition lawAdvising on commercial contractsSupporting on any potential M&A transactionsAdvising on corporate governance, GDPR and other regulatory mattersUnderstanding the risk appetite of the business and providing commercially sound, accurate and timely legal adviceAdvising and supporting on risk mitigation strategiesWorking closely with the trademark departments to ensure the protection of their trademarks and domainsSupporting on any disputesWorking closely with external counselTo be considered for the role you should:Be fluent in Spanish and English (both verbal & written)Be a Spanish qualified lawyerStrong commercial lawyer with experience in: commercial contracts, IP, Data Privacy and Compliance.Experience of competition law huge advantageousEnjoy working as part of a team and have the ability to build strong and lasting relationships with people both inside and outside the organisationHave the confidence and gravitas to work closely with and advise senior stakeholders across the businessThis is a hugely exciting time to join a big brand and highly successful business.
