MACHINE LEARNING SCIENTIST

We seek machine learning scientists to push the boundaries of artificial intelligence in global health including its application in low-income settings. We are interested in individuals with solid knowledge and experience in developing and evaluating different architectures and algorithms, and their applications in experimentation and causal inference. You will have the unique opportunity of, together with our data science and engineering teams, defining and building features for our machine learning platform for equitable healthcare.If you are passionate about using data science to improve global health and you are enthusiastic about changing the world, we want to hear from you. ResponsibilitiesIn collaboration with the team of data scientists and engineers, develop machine learning models to predict user behavior, with the aim of implementing them in our platformWork with the Engineering team to determine the SDK modules and events needed for each integration, including the adaptation of current or creation of new specifications as required.Present and communicate technical and AI concepts and methodologies to business partnersPropose trait and metric definitions for visualization, intervention validation, and feature generation.Propose machine learning use cases, interventions, and impact analysis.Communication with partners (and with the end users of their technology whenever possible) to gain a deep understanding of their business and needs, summarize & communicate internal analyses to partners (travel required).Analyze raw data and prepare it to create robust pipelines and featuresIdentify and formulate problems, understand end-user objectives and conduct quality, independent researchResearch and advise on new tools for managing and analyzing datasets and how to apply themDesign, develop and test optimal ways of structuring data for processing.Advise Causal Foundry on the safe, responsible and ethical use of its machine learning platform, suggesting the necessary practices and policies to reach this objectiveMinimum qualificationsBachelor's degree, degree or engineering degree in mathematics, statistics, physics, computer science or related fields; or equivalent technical competence.Strong background and experience in various machine learning methods.Experience in data analysis and processing in health-related projects.Advanced programming skills in Python and its scientific libraries (8y+)Experience in distributed programming (Hadoop, Hive, Spark...)High level of EnglishAttention to detail and effective verbal/written communication skills.
