Job Description.
Our team is part of the area Technology, Data and Innovation (TDI) Private Bank.
Within TDI, Partnerdata is the central client reference data system in Germany.
As a core banking system, many banking processes and applications are integrated and communicate via >2k interfaces.
From a technical perspective, we maintain critical functionality on the mainframe, but build new solutions (REST services, Angular frontend, Big Data and GCP solutions and more).
Next to the maintenance and the implementation of new CTB requirements, the content focus also lies on the regulatory and tax topics surrounding a partner/ client.
We are looking for a mainframe engineer colleague to help us with day-to-day activities.
Your key responsibilities You are part of the development team, responsible for the functional analysis of epics and user stories in strong collaboration with all stakeholders (e.
.
business units, operations, development team, Product Owner) You are supporting the design and translation of high-level business requirements into software You are developing software components on mainframe and related environments, e.
.
MQ, Liberty You are supporting the extension of backend architecture, designing enhancements, and establishing best practices, in consideration of development standards You would also be needed in the GCP development of the application during the Cloud migration in the long term.
You would be supporting the product owner and subject matter experts for stabilising the application pre and postproduction, providing L3/L4 Support in case of incidents.
You are willing to work and code as part of an agile team actively, participate and contribute into the sprint activities and ceremonies after full introduction of agile working model on mainframe side.
Your skills and experience Knowledge of COBOL, DB2, JCL, OPC is must.
Knowledge of Liberty, JAVA, GCP (e.
.
Cloud SQL, Big Query) is an added advantage / candidate must have the willingness to learn.
Basic technical capabilities and infrastructure knowledge (e.
.
Cloud Technology and mainframe migration knowledge.) Experience with development process workflow SDLC, Change Management.
Experience with tools across the Software development Lifecycle.
Jira, Confluence etc.) Strong ability to manage unexpected events; control and deal with them quickly and efficiently.
When confronted with a problem, you will need to collect information, analyse situation, point out solutions and apply them to solve perfectly in reasonable time.
Experience with working together with Agile/SCRUM teams and their methods and tooling is added advantage, must have in the future.
